As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I have 2 tickets for each of Thursday, Friday and Saturday that I can't use because I can't make it to Toronto. For Thursday and Friday, thatcanadianguy is going to be picking them up and may have extras that he and his posse can't use. So send him a private message if you want to try to arrange something.
For Saturday, I have PDF tickets that I can just email to someone. Please private message me if you need them.

I have 2 tickets to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but now it looks like I won't be able to fly to Toronto and make the shows. If anyone has any ideas how they can get my tickets without having my credit card and ID with them, they can have the tickets. If anyone has any ideas, please PM me. I'd hate for the tickets to go to waste.

That sounds like a great way to see THS for the first time. The first time I saw them I was just getting familiar with their catalogue, so it was a great show, but I didn't yet fully appreciate the band or the songs. Of course they blew me away, but in a new discovery kind of way. I will admit that I've gone back and reviewed the setlist and tried to retcon my memories.

The Ambassador. For some reason, it just doesn't do anything for me. When I saw then with DBT this past summer, I used that song as a drink break both nights.

Maybe London Oct 21, if I can swing my travel around it. And I've got tickets for the Thursday-Sat Toronto shows in December.

Admittedly they haven't done this yet, but I think it'd be cool if they made this change on Multitude of Casualties: "It's a funny bit of chemistry, how a cool bar makes a band seem that much cooler." I could see Craig having some fun with that.

Turns out I'm not going to make it down for the shows, which is good news for you folks because it almost guarantees that they will be epic. Have fun!

I was thinking of flying down for the Vegas show, but SD/OC gives me two shows instead of one. I figure I'd fly to LA and rent a car.
Are they good venues?

I'm considering flying down from Vancouver, but I'm not sure I'll be able to self-justify it.

Yeah, the venue was a puzzler from the get go. I'm almost happy I was out of town and couldn't make it to the show. Almost.
Hopefully this doesn't kill Vancouver for the band. Their past shows in the sweet part of the city have been better attended and have had better energy.

Geez, for as good a time as I had at the Stone Pony and the Paramount, it seems like the set lists just keep getting better. It kills me that I'm not going to be around for the Seattle and Vancouver shows. This may call for a quick trip down to Vegas for the Aug 2 show.

Yup. Down on the floor, I think. See you there. I'll probably be the middle-aged guy in the "DILF" t-shirt standing next to a hulk of a man.

Hi there,
A couple things, as we're getting closer to flying in for these shows:
1. This pre-game at the Silverball Pinball Museum sounds interesting, but it's not clear to me if we can just show up. Anyone know? I assume our decision on whether or not to attend will be a game time decision, but I don't want to show up unannounced/unwelcomed.
2. On the threedimesdown forum it seems like lots of folks are staying at the Berkely, as are we. Anyone else?
3. Will there be a roll call of folks who will be at both shows?
See you at the shows.

The reason for the show at the River Rock instead of the Vogue is now apparent--OK GO is playing the Vogue that night.

I've only been to theater for two very different shows: Don Rickles, and a Led Zeppelin cover band. The most important thing to know is that drinks are NOT allowed in the theater itself and must be consumed in the lobby outside (unless this has changed).

Just bought tickets for both shows. Flying up from Georgia. I've been waiting for this bill to come back around for 5 years! EDIT: Can any of you locals help me out with trip planning? In particular, how easy would it be to take public transportation from Asbury Park to Huntington? Am I better off just renting a car? Thanks! If you want to take the train this page has info on NYC to Asbury Park www.divaontheshore.com/directionsToAsburyParkNJ.htmlFor NYC (Penn Station) to Huntington take the LIRR Port Jefferson Line, get off at the Huntington stop, proceed to NY Ave/route 110 turn right (north) and walk 1000 yards to the trolley pick up tents. The Paramount has a Free Trolley service running night of show from 5:00 pm ’til 2:00 am. Trolleys are free of charge for anyone who wants to park at the Huntington train station and come into the village. The trolleys run from 5:00 pm until 2:00 am with the last pick up at 1:45 am so feel free to stay in town after the show! Simply park in the Huntington Railroad North Rail Lot located on the corner of Church Street and New York Avenue. Look for The Paramount tent where Trolleys will be waiting for you to take the 4-minute ride to The Paramount. - See more at: paramountny.com/get-here/#sthash.3VVq3nU7.P1IHMw2A.dpufThanks for this info. I'm flying in from Vancouver and going to both Asbury Park and Huntington. We're renting a car. For AP, we'll just stay at one of the two hotels within stumbling distance. I'm not sure about the Huntington show. It looks like there may be a few Holiday Inn type places south of Huntington village, but it doesn't look like there's anything walking distance. Maybe we're better off just taking the train from Manhattan, especially since my friend has never been to New York and may want to do some sightseeing Saturday (day) and Sunday. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks.

So happy to see that they are FINALLY coming back to Vegas!! Good memories of a few years ago in Vegas when they played in the parking lot of the Beauty Bar (??). My friend and I still laugh about the openers trying to get through their song while a garbage truck in the alley was clang clang clanging away while emptying a big garbage bin.

Howdy Scenesters. It looks like I'm gonna fly in from Vancouver for this one. See the show Friday/Saturday, go to the Bears game Sunday and the Sox game Monday night. I realize that's already a pretty full calendar, and this isn't a travel board, but does anyone have any other "must do's" while I'm in town?
Thanks in advance, and see ya at the show.

Damn, that set list is so in my wheelhouse that it depresses me because it likely means I won't get all of those songs tonight.

I don't think it's a sell out, but I have an extra ticket if anyone needs it. PM me if anyone wants it.
Have fun at the pre-drink. I'm going to be at the BC Lions game (the CFL's slogan: "It's almost football!") enjoying free booze and food courtesy of my friend's overly generous hospitality suite policy.

That's Edmonton, right? I should be there. Vancouver on the 19th, then plan on making the drive with a friend to Edmonton for the 21st and Calgary for the 22nd. Although I was born in Edmonton, I know very little about it. So any tips/hints are appreciated. And my friend loves burgers, so this "The Hat" sounds intriguing. If you haven't bought tickets already, it would be nice if you took frannyglass' extras. I'd like to help out, but I already have my tickets. Sorry.
