Yup. Down on the floor, I think. See you there. I'll probably be the middle-aged guy in the "DILF" t-shirt standing next to a hulk of a man.

Balcony, 2nd row center. Missed out in 2008. Hitting the beach show and DBTs in Baltimore Thursday night. Best bands.

THS was great. DBT was great. Then they joined up on stage, and it was great squared.

What's the deal with no Almost Killed Me songs either night?

I would guess it has something to do with the fact that they had a somewhat shortened timespan. That being said, last night was the first time I ever watched the band where I was not looking up at them from the first row, and it was amazing. While I missed the "people touching people" and the confetti, I was able to enjoy the band and the music just a little bit more for what they are....one of the best live acts around. I so enjoyed watching the interplay between members as well as their own individual personalities, rather than focusing on what was in front of me, and trying to hold my ground for and hour and twenty. I do love everything about this band. Craig is a frontman who I would say handles the stage as well as anyone and that includes Springsteen and Jagger. The part during Positive Jam when some guy yelled out a line in the silence, and Craig smiled...and then gestured with a point of the finger to himself...fucking priceless. His story about wanting to be in a rock band ranks up there with Springsteen stuff from 78. Tad is just sick good these days and so goddamn focused. My brother who is a very, very good guitar player and banjo player kept saying "Holy Shit!" That was complimentary. And was that little thing that they did to open Charlemagne in Sweatpants. That was new right? Bobby missed a cue, but hey dont we all at times and he was just stellar last night. I wished they could have set up a second kit during the encores. Galen...what the hell...we were in the balcony and some of those bombs he dropped were vibrating in my chest. And could he stop having so much goddamn fun...please...I get way too envious. Steve, totally compliments Tad's playing, and loved the way they were playing off each other.
I was so psyched when they started off with Sweet Part of the City which is my favorite from HIW. It just sounded amazing. "I Hope this whole thing" is just a perfect concert song, built for the stage as well as for blasting out the windows of your car on a summers day. There werent many changes in the setlist from Friday Night al least that I can recall right now. I wasnt writing things down or taking pictures....I was just digging the scene. Very non adversarial in the crowd, probably one of the least pushy (for lack of a better word) than any show I have ever been to, but I was still happy with my new vantage point. The venue itself is superb and I highly recommend it to anyone in the tri-state looking for a night out. Hell they even had video screens!
DBT was excellent, and even though I am not a huge fan, I enjoyed the show. The three guitars is very reminiscent of early Skynyrd. I said to my brother that this is the kind of stuff we listened to in the late 70's, like Charlie Daniels and Marshall Tucker who were much different in concert than on vinyl. I dont understand the symbiosis between the band EXCEPT that both are great storytellers. Patterson has a rhythmic voice that even when he is doing spoken word sounds like singing. But I have to admit thaat I sat down during their whole set except for the song about not being happy, which killed.
The encores were the same as Friday and I was GLAD because they sounded so damn good ...except People Who Died....which sounded as if the inmates had taken over the asylum. It was just noisy and reckless and too loud and haphazard. But it sure LOOKED fun. Patron and beer and red wine being slung back and guitars turned up to 11. Adam Raised a Cain was one of the musical highlights of the night. Craig was fucking awesome on this ...I saw Bruce do this at his zenith in 1978....and Craig's vocals echoed the anger that song needs to convey. I love "Let There Be Rock" ...just for the story....and "Bon Scott singing....." perfect song. Rocking In The Free World outdid anything I have seen by Neil or Pearl Jam or U2.....
All in all it was a great night....and as a fan...one moment during Southtown Girls...Craig looked up to the balcony and saw my yellow hat and gave me a smile and a wave. That was pretty fucking cool. Great show boys.

Last night at the Paramount during the encore we were standing upfront, by Tad & Cooley. Craig started out on the other side of the stage but eventually made his way over to us. When he did, a girl (I do not know) standing next to me lifted up her shirt. Craig did a double take, looked embarrassed and walked away laughing. It did not seem like anyone else on stage noticed the sideshow(ing). He only tried one more time coming over by us and again he received the same display, to which he covered his eyes and shuffled off. I guess this is a Rock Problem he has never faced before.

My buddy and I were standing right behind her when that whole thing happened and absolutely lost it. First time we've seen that at a THS show. What a nice lady.

The flashing brunette pushed right past me to the rail! Not a bad set. Seemed like no one on stage had ever experienced THAT! Saw both shows from the rail, dead center, what a weekend!!!

I noticed Finn's bemused expression from the balcony. I had wondered what did it.

This is a blurry version of People Who Died, but at :50 mark watch Craig's reaction as he is flashed for a second time. I hope this whole thing didn't frighten him. Video
