No reports from the seattle show yet? Shame!
I was hoping to scope out the setlist and see what to expect for tomorrow. Ah well, probably best I be completely surprised anyways!

I'm sure there is someone out there that has an exact setlist, but I can do my best. I know a few of these are out of order, but I'm pretty sure at least all the songs are in there. The set was amazing and the band sounded so tight. Incredible mix of older material, and the new songs were awesome live.
(full "official" set list below...)
The highlight for me was that they played the 4 songs that I really wanted to hear, but are not always a guaranteed part of the set (Stevie Nix, Resurrection, Most People are DJs, A Slight Discomfort)

Damn, that set list is so in my wheelhouse that it depresses me because it likely means I won't get all of those songs tonight.

I think the above poster listed all these, but I grabbed the setlist, so I may as well post it, right?
Sweet Part Constructive Hot Soft Hurricane J The Swish Rock Problems Magazines Chips Ahoy Stations Sequestered Stevie Nix Multitude Barfruit You Can We Can Get Together DJs The Weekenders Southtown Hoodrat Slight Discomfort
Hornets! Hornets! Stay Positive Massive Nights Resurrection!
The set was (obviously) great. The crowd left something to be desired. It got pretty violent and inconsiderate up front. It was one fast, loud song after another and I think the audience kind of got whipped into a frenzy. I was touched by many people I didn't even know, yo. It was an experience.
This is my first Hold Steady show since moving away from the Midwest - I have to say, it was a little surreal to hear Seattle people singing along to Minneapolis street names.
I'll be hitting up the Eugene show for sure and (most likely) the Portland show in between.

They hit the stage right about 10:10 as they were scheduled to. They finished the encore at about 11:50ish.

thanks for posting the ('official') setlist, whimrocker, though i think mike's version of the encore is the right one. i was having too much fun to keep track, sure sign of a kick-ass show ;D Sweet Part of the City is an interesting opener- i'm used to them coming out swinging... felt like delayed gratification to me, maybe to the rowdy boys up front too (though i daresay they could stand a lesson in it!). new stuff sounded great and was a seamless fit with the rest, but THS shows without Franz will take some getting used to. super psyched about getting DJs, Barfruit Blues and Resurrection! one of these times they're going to follow DJs with Certain Songs and make me fall over for sheer joy, or sheer jealousy if i'm not there (likelier)...
anyway, hope it's an awesome time at the Vogue tonight- enjoy!

You're absolutely right, nicollet. Mike had the encore right - I totally forgot about hornets. I edited my post with the correct information.
There are actually no encores listed on the setlist I grabbed, so I was going off my rock-addled memory for that.

Good, but not great, gig in Vancouver tonight. Vogue was only just over half full, compared to nearly sold out when THS played the same venue last year. Plus its an all seated venue, which is difficult for any band.
I'm sure someone will post a full set list. Usual Sweet Part opener. Main set closed with Slapped Actress, and encore was Barely Beathing, Hoodrat and Stay Positive.
Couple of "rarities" played - Going On A Hike, and Touchless. The latter probably because of the "Canadian Security" line. Having spent an hour with Canadian Customs when I flew into Vancouver on Tuesday, I know where that line comes from - as I know Craig and the band do too.
Only 13 songs were played tonight that were also played last night in Seattle - which is what makes the band so great. No We Can Get Together, Resurrection, Killer Parties, DJs, Hornets, Magazines tonight - but that's why idiots like me can go and see the band so many times. Every gig and every set list is different.

Damn, would have loved to see Slight Discomfort and Hornets, should have gone to Seattle instead!
Nah, the Vancouver show was obviously lots of fun still. Nonstop segues between most songs I seem to remember. They played 23 songs, and like shinola I can remember them all, just not the exact order played. Standout older song for me was Chicago Seemed Tired Last Night.

Not a proper setlists, but here is my half-decent memory of what was played:
1 - Sweet Part of the city (not in order...) 2 Constructive Summer 3 Multitude of Casualties 4 Chips Ahoy 5 Sequestered in Memphis 6 The Swish 7 Massive Nights 8 Lord I'm Discouraged 9 Stuck Between Stations 10 Navy Sheets 11 Goin on a Hike 12 Hurricane J 13 Southtown Girls 14 The Smidge 15 The Weekenders 16 Chicago Seemed Tired 17 Rock Problems 18 Touchless (in order...) 19 Slapped Actress __________________ 20 Barely Breathing 21 Your Little Hoodrat Friend 22 Stay Positive
I know I'm missing a song now, and now I can't remember what it is. I'm thinking maybe Banging Camp but it could just be wishful thinking. Shinola, can you remember?
