There is only one real answer here. This is the single greatest poster ever made for any band EVER. I don't have a copy and I contacted the creator originally who doesn't have any extra and won't print anymore (it was a limited run for a single show only). I contemplated suicide I was so sad. If anyone has one and would be willing to sell it, PM me. andcodesign.com/?project=the-hold-steadyI've had this poster for 2 years and love it. I couldn't find a missing band until about a month ago, when I realized Krokus isn't on there.

"Katherine Heigl as the girl in “Chips Ahoy!” and “The Weekenders.”
Katherine Heigl is, in my mind, the queen of the Romantic Comedy That I Can Only Watch on an Airplane. She’s especially good at the first part of the rom-com where the male lead finds her hard to like. She does this very believably. At the end of “The Weekenders,” I say, “It’s not going to be like a romantic comedy,” and this seems like something you’d have to remind Heigl about. "
That is an incredibly polite epic burn. Good job, Craig.

Hey Guys, Wondering if anyone has any info on set times or who's playing first?? Any info would be great. I have another gang meeting later that night and the other gang is kind of a bunch of control-freaks. Thanks in advance. DBT is closing.

From RevMatt on the DBT message boards:
HERE ARE THE DETAILS FOR THE SILVERBALL MUSEUM PRE-PARTY AND PINBALL TOURNAMENT
Time -- 1:00 to 4:00 PM
Admission -- $20.00 -- The admission price includes a wrist band that allows you to play unlimited pinball all afternoon. It also includes use of the party space. It also includes a $5.00 "Play" for a prize package. This $5.00 will be given to Nuci's Space as a donation. So far I have one prize basket that includes cd's and vinyl donated by local NJ bands like The Grip Weeds, The Smithereens and Tara Elliot and The Red Velvets.
Food and Drinks -- We are allowed to drink beer in the party space. Someone has donated beer. I am bringing a deli platter. Any food donation like pizza, soda, pretzels and cookies is welcome.
With the bracelet you can go in and out of the museum for the duration of the pre-party. You are not stuck there all afternoon. You can play pinball, eat a sandwich, then go for a swim and still return later in the afternoon. The party will end at 4:00 which is an hour before doors.
I am currently talking with the manager to see about hooking up a turntable to the museum's sound system so we can play some vinyl. If he agrees I will bring a crate of APPROPRIATE albums to play. Others can bring some vinyl as well. However, we have to keep in mind that our choice of music has to be amenable to other visitors to The Silver Ball Museum. In other words, I won't be bringing Opeth albums or Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music. But I am sure my Eddie Hinton Very Extremely Dangerous will go over well.

Hi there, A couple things, as we're getting closer to flying in for these shows: 1. This pre-game at the Silverball Pinball Museum sounds interesting, but it's not clear to me if we can just show up. Anyone know? I assume our decision on whether or not to attend will be a game time decision, but I don't want to show up unannounced/unwelcomed. 2. On the threedimesdown forum it seems like lots of folks are staying at the Berkely, as are we. Anyone else? 3. Will there be a roll call of folks who will be at both shows? See you at the shows. You should be able to show up for the Silverball thing unannounced. DBT fans are generally very hospitable. I just booked a room at the Berkeley today. Not sure yet where I'm going to stay after the Paramount show.

Just bought tickets for both shows. Flying up from Georgia.
I've been waiting for this bill to come back around for 5 years!
EDIT: Can any of you locals help me out with trip planning? In particular, how easy would it be to take public transportation from Asbury Park to Huntington? Am I better off just renting a car?
Thanks!

Breakdowns of the albums aside, can we talk about these fucking rankings for a second. Sep Sunday at #4, BAGIA ranked dead last? When I saw AKM at #3, I was like, "okay, sure, after SS and BAGIA," then I saw how they ranked the next two and was like whatthefuck. They gave Teeth Dreams a 2/10 and then said it was their second best album? I understand it's different writers doing these, but I do appreciate a little uniformity. If you read a music magazine (pre-internet), and one issue said this album sucks, and the next said it's the bands second best, wouldn't you be a little confused? Like, does the band overall suck? If they do, why do a whole piece dissecting them? Sure, online magazines need to find content everyday, but different writers doesn't mean different source. At least mention the discrepancy. It's not like Teeth Dreams came out 10 years ago and the dude who reviewed it was channeling the CoS. That being said, I was glad to see them give Teeth Dreams credit. I think the rankings are just for the cover art.

So, there's a new animated show on Hulu called The Awesomes. And THS did the theme song. The lyrics go something like this:
This feels awesome This feels awesome This feels awesome Yeah, this feels awesome.

What a jerk! Why'd she have to release a song called "James (Hold the Ladder Steady)" in 1962? It barely made the charts, and now, over 50 years later, her record keeps cluttering my search results.
