I could probably do something in my office conference room. Might just squeeze 50 in if they didnt mind being close friends :-) Inverkeithing. That would be in reach of most of the central belt, Perth and Dundee, or even Aberdeen at a big push. I'm wondering generally if there are enough people in Scotland , even in Glasgow, to make up enough numbers. Either way, I'd be planning to get to any in the Central belt. Americans must have huge living rooms! I've pretty much promised myself I will get to the closest one wherever it is. Somewhere in Scotland would be good though. I wouldn't consider the Central Belt a big push personally. I've got used to travelling for gigs that I "need" to see.

I'm involved in a local community centre which has a coffee shop which would do. If Aberdeen is indeed a feasible venue! I suppose you'd have to guarantee a decent enough number of people? Indeed, and it's probably a pipedream, but a very cool pipedream!!

i'm also not crazy about the sound of Preludes, it's a bit soft rock. might grow on me, though. or make more sense in the context of the record. Calvary Court is fucking great though. I agree. The instrumentation sounds a bit like the demo song that comes with a keyboard. But I agree, it may grow on me. My first impression of Preludes was it sounded like Panpipes - I have a vision of it being played outside the local shopping centre. Much prefer Calvary Court.

If you have problems and ordered from Frenchkiss and live in UK/EU, still hit up Paul and he’ll work out getting another copy from the UK office upon return. Great, thanks Brendon. I received an Email from the UK office and will be sending my copy back to there.

I'll be Emailing about SS - very noticeable tone arm wobble - especially when compared with AKM, which is great.
I won't expect to be asked to return this to the US at my expense, but we'll see!

Anyone catching Frank Turner on his UK tour. I'm going to the gig in Aberdeen. Small venue, sold out - should be good. Following directly on from the office Christmas party so may well be somewhat "relaxed"!

It is a matter of economics. As I said before, there is nothing new to promote and sell so there would be minimal income outside of ticket sales. Now, assuming you could even get enough promoters/venues interested to put something together overseas for a band who has not been together as a touring outfit in nearly two years and has no new music - try to figure out how many shows at what ticket price and what attendance minimums would be necessary to cover: roundtrip trans-Atlantic flights with luggage overages for a band of six and skeleton crew of three, lodging and food for these nine people, wages for these nine people who probably want to be paid at least what their current home jobs do at least, rental equipment, ground transportation, fuel, a driver, manager fees, publicist fees, tour booker fees, etc etc etc. Remember there is no record company to front this money before one dime of ticket revenue is paid out. Now, who's credit card do we want to put this on? Bottom line, unless Noel Gallagher or Johnny Marr are on the THS email list and they call Tad this week and ask him and his band to open a run of shows, I would not hold my breath for THS in the U.K. this year. Again I only offer my opinion because I think this 6 day ramp up to an "announcement" has unfortunately stoked the excitement levels of many fans a little too hard. Take their statement "playing a limited number of live shows this fall" literally and hope it parlays into something bigger in 2017 or 2018. I'm sure we can get a Kickstarter together to fund the show and I'm in contact with Alan McGee so nothing is impossible. Come on Tarbell! What the fuck happened to "Stay Positive"?! Unfortunately I think the only people who would profit from a single show in the UK would be the touts...and quite handsomely. Wouldn't it be great if the fans could fund it though??

This was the night Titus told Craig they wanted him to sing the Billy Joel cover followed by Replacements "Bastards of Young" (hence the introduction of the song ... "these people they wanna hear that real Minneapolis shit right now") Complete curveball. Genuine moment. Nice to hear the keyboards!!

As spring has sprung in NE Scotland, we reassembled the trampoline yesterday. With some poles at 9 year old eye level, I asked my son to find something to cover this up. This is the solution he came up with.

Still not on the UK iTunes which sucks. Don't get me wrong, we got the Teeth Dreams iTunes tracks and Australia has been particularly well served in the past so it seems only fair that the "home" fans get these tunes but why not release them worldwide? I'd much rather pay for a download until I can pick up a cassette from somewhere and until then I'm sure I can acquire the two songs in question by nefarious means but I'd much rather pay a couple of quid to support one of my favourite artists. Even if I get a cassette it will most likely be through eBay than paying for my own copy from source. I've just downloaded from UK iTunes.
