I must admit I didn't see the change of time, but managed to get individual tickets for both nights (plus the merch package)

I'm going to move hell and high water to get there, hopefully for both considering the distance I'll be travelling!

Looking at last night's (admittedly tremendous) setlist I would like to ask where the band, three year's later, see Teeth Dreams? It would be a shame if it completely dropped off the setlist - I still play it a lot. My other question would be why do I feel so jealous here in the UK? OK - I can answer that one! Third question - are the shows being recorded.

Saw Simple Minds in Dundee last week, on their "Acoustic Tour". Not really very acoustic but aside from the dire Mandela Day, it was good. The stuff off the earlier albums especially suited the the slightly stripped down formula. Jim Kerr is still the most cheesy, ridiculous and happy front man in rock, right down to running down the centre aisle to "meet his people" during New Gold Dream. Respect for not cancelling their Manchester gig on Tuesday as well.

Eric, they are very relaxed at the venue. As long as I tell them your name (if you can make it) the tickets will be there for you to pick up. I posted them guaranteed by 1300 today so can check they have arrived. Drop me a Email (sim_rob@hotmail.com) or private message with your full name and I can get this sorted...
Edited to say that you won't need to pay for them there - that's between you and me!!

Just a quick note to say that I have finally received a replacement copy of SS (after two dodgy copies). This is new batch and seems fine, so if anyone still has faulty copies they can be replaced.

I've two tickets for sale, can no longer afford/have the time to get down now that there are Living Room shows closer to home.
Face value £32 the pair.

I'm really liking this, even though it makes me feel strangely melancholic and quite nostalgic - there are parts that remind me of some of Lloyd Cole's earlier stuff (maybe imagining that - I'm seeing him next Friday). Maybe it's my impending middle age and recognition that much of the subject matter feels applicable. I love the lush sounds and I think the backing vocals really work (Birds Trapped in the Airport is sublime).
But what purpose is the flute(?) serving on Preludes? I really don't like it - anyone else?

Have tickets for Glasgow and Edinburgh. Looking to fit in a jaunt up Arthur's Seat on the Monday afternoon, weather permitting.

Two listens in (whilst trying to work) and loving it. Came home to find the vinyl had arrived. Looking forward to spinning it this evening (whilst wearing my hat!).

Yes, 3pm today. I'm planning a mini road trip to take in both Central Belt shows if possible.

Great to see two Scottish Dates there - would love to have been hosting but agree that NE Scotland was going to be a stretch!

Excellent. Reminiscent of some of Van Morrison's spoken songs - Coney Island, On Hyndford Street...

It's been pretty quiet on here - has anyone here or you know thrown their hat into the ring? I've offered Aberdeen, but will definitely want to be attending at least one whatever...
