For me this was the best Weekender. It's the first time I've done both the Soundcheck and the quiz, and the Saturday afternoon at Tapping the Admiral. Omeara definitely the best Sunday venue I've been to (I didn't do The Lexington or Oslo), complete with a "proper" boozer close by. I think they could do worse than make this the regular Sunday venue.

Teeth Dreams is 10 yrs old next week. Surprised there's not a reissue Now that you mention it, I was really hoping for a decent demo of The Only Thing. The 'early' lyrics were terrific. At the Weekender soundcheck, Craig hinted that there may be a "reimagining" in the same manner they did for HIW at the lockdown Massive Nights. There's evidently not much love for record within the band itself, insofar as (metaphorically) where they were at the time , so a 10-year reissue was probably never going to happen. It's a shame, as there are songs I would love to hear for the first time (The Only Thing) or again (Spinners, The Ambassador, Almost Everything). Having said that, I think the full version of Oaks closing the Omeara show will go down in THS folklore.

I'm in for Glasgow. Great news is that it's the day after Slowdive. Do you have tickets? Showing as not available online. Have I snoozed into a sell out? I can't see any available tickets either . It's not a venue I've been to (I saw THS in the large space in 2014) but it's quoting 150 capacity. Hopefully up can pick one up nearer the time.

Hopefully folks got Sunday tickets? What is the deal with Saturday after party? Was that bundled with the sound check or is it for anyone with a Saturday ticket? I assume it's for everyone as it wouldn't be much of an afterparty if it was just the Soundcheck crowd, even if they all stayed. I'm conflicted about this. I like my early night on the Saturday so I can recharge for Sunday!!

Also, I purchased a season ticket in the presale now I can't seem to get a soundcheck/aftershow without buying another Saturday ticket? I'm in exactly the same position.

I got lucky this year. Last year I got Sunday night tickets directly through the venue website, which may be the best option.

Was sent this earlier this week: Dear The Hold Steadyers, Apologies for the delay in your order being dispatched, and for this opening contact. There was a customs lost goods & delay on arriving in the UK and some other technical issues. All is now in hand, the CDs have arrived and we have a print date of April 16th for the tees. All orders that were for vinyl or vinyl and CD only are being dispatched this week. Any orders with a t-shirt will be dispatched next week. Again sorry for the delay. I will take this time to let you know these delays were not down to the band or management. Thank you Richard Cassar Mine finally arrived yesterday! Hope everyone else’s have arrived / are on their way. Good news, hopefully the NE Scotland delay will only be a day!!

Has anyone in the UK had notification their Music Glue order has shipped? Nope. Still waiting for vinyl and t shirt bundle.

It was a strange one. I was pretty much against the mixing desk at the back and felt fine (and didn’t need to move), but was aware of folk near the door. I liked the space and sound was good, nice few surprises in the set list. But the staffing levels were pants. And running out of beer? Someone didn’t do their homework. I can see the logic of the venue in terms of the story arc of the band, but probably too small.

I'm currently looking at the weather with a bit of trepidation - due to fly from Aberdeen early Friday morning... All the best dude. It’s a shitshow here in South Wales. Tentatively leaving in 6 hours time but nothings for sure yet. If we both get there it’s my round in Tapping The Admiral! Cheers mate. Good luck with your travels Looking more optimistic up here now but not counting my chickens. I have to do the family thing during the day tomorrow so won't be pre-drinking (probably a good thing with 0345 alarm!!) but will be at Tapping the Admiral on Saturday!

Looks like there's 2 extra songs on the vinyl versions of TPOP, noticed by the positive posting Facebook group. Radar and Leda The death of the punchline So 12 tracks available in some form or other.......... If it's like PDP I reckon these will be non-vinyl tracks. I sure I remember at some point (Twitter Listening Party?) that they had to drop one track (Parade Days) is it physically did not "fit" on the vinyl.

Figured it's worth a shot. I'm flying out to London from Seattle for the shows, and when I originally bought tickets I was planning to leave on Sunday, so I didn't buy a ticket to Sunday night's show. Of course, now I'm leaving on Monday, and tickets have long since sold out. If anyone ends up having a ticket available last minute, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. Thanks! Mike Have you registered on Twickets? 2 came up yesterday but I'm guessing they have gone by now.

Long shot but if anyone has a ticket going for the Saturday show I would be vvv keen to buy! I didn’t think I’d be able to attend this year but it now looks like I can and I’m determined not to miss my first weekender… DM if you’re able to help out. Thanks for listening, etc.! Are you on Twickets? They seem to be coming up quite regularly for the Electric Ballroom, but I must admit I haven't really noticed which nights for...

Did someone actually say that in the group? That would surprise me. Positive Posting is about the only reason I even go to Facebook any more. It's silly fun and I've met a few very cool folks there. Now the Watford FC in the USA fan group on FB? Ooof. Bunch of negative nancies there. Then again, we're really good at giving up points at the death, so that's to be expected. On a side note I wouldn’t worry too much about being a Watford fan. As a Cardiff fan I’d much rather be 6th than 21st in the Championship! It’s hard to drum up any positivity with Cardiff at the moment. We celebrated our first win in 16 games on Tuesday like we’d won the Champions League! Yeah Positive Posting is pretty good for a Facebook group. I resisted joining for a long time (cos I'm old and prefer this page!). Talking of all things championship, as a Sunderland Fan I'm getting ti teh point of being hopeful, which is always a bad place to be!! Sixers is great by the way, isn't it - devastating final line...

Anyone looking for cheap (ish) accommodation for the Sunday night gig should try Travelodge London Central city road. Rooms around £54 on a room only non refundable rate. Thoroughly concur with other comments about the prices of London accomodation, even at a fairly basic level the usual big brands (premier Inn, Travelodge) are incredibly expensive for the Friday and Saturday nights, almost anywhere central. Good call - I'm in the London City one on the Sunday night - got it for £42 a a month or so ago. For Friday/Saturday I got a single room above a restaurant in Hampstead for £100 a night. Three years ago I was in the Premier Inn Hub at King's Cross for £120 for three nights! Edited to add that it's still available for £46.

Hey everyone! First visit to the boards in a loooong time. I have ticket for Saturday but haven't arranged accommodation. Yeah I know I could've sorted this out months ago... So I just thought I'd put it out here - could anybody host me for the night on their couch, floor, etc? Or recommend any cheap place to stay? Can't wait to see you all! Eric x Hope someone can help you out, but accommodation seems to be so much more expensive this year. I have managed a cheap Travel Lodge on Sunday night (reasonably close to the Sunday venue) but nothing cheap around Camden...

Just pre-ordered the white vinyl from Rough Trade. Would much prefer the translucent green one but $29 for shipping ($4 more than the actual album!) is just ridiculous. Had the same problem wanting to pre-order New River. Surely there’s a way a certain amount of the most coveted ones can be sent to record shops in the U.K. that mean we don’t have to pay over double the price for it to actually arrive. £25 and a few coppers all in for the white. I may still order the translucent green tomorrow but £20 extra is a bit much. Small bugbear, looking forward to the record a lot. Can’t wait to hear Grand Junction which sounded amazing on the Brooklyn Bowl livestream. You can get the green vinyl through the website www.musicglue.com/theholdsteady/?fbclid=IwAR1TcUV6u00k1UBD2k_XwBHMLL3rwAPo_Hirw_P9wNSycQZQs3A-5gZO1Nw

I confidently predict whatever it is will make me significantly poorer! I think there will be an album but they will wait until 2024 for the 10 years of TD.
