This is great news!
I definitely don't have a house big enough for this and neither do any of my friends (anyone rich people out there looking for a new friend?) but I know a few people in Sheffield with some cool spaces that could work well for this, so I might try and convince me to let them take over for a night. Either way, looking forward to making it to one of these wherever they end up being. That video made them seem like really special evenings.

I'm involved in a local community centre which has a coffee shop which would do. If Aberdeen is indeed a feasible venue!

I'm wondering if it would be okay to do a gig on a boat? It would be kind of public that's the only catch.. I'd be all over this at a less stressful time in my life.

I could probably do something in my office conference room. Might just squeeze 50 in if they didnt mind being close friends :-) Inverkeithing. That would be in reach of most of the central belt, Perth and Dundee, or even Aberdeen at a big push. I'm wondering generally if there are enough people in Scotland , even in Glasgow, to make up enough numbers. Either way, I'd be planning to get to any in the Central belt. Americans must have huge living rooms!

I wouldn't consider the Central Belt a big push personally. I've got used to travelling for gigs that I "need" to see.

I was just thinking that seeing as it's quieter on here these days, maybe we should spread the word a little to make sure this whole UK Living Room thing takes off? If all of us still on here got in touch with friends / contacts who'd be interested in THS - on the assumption that they'd enjoy CF's material - then there should be numbers and hopefully some people with the space to accommodate this wonderful idea? Seeing as we've all been to plenty of full THS shows around the country before, surely there'll be sufficient groups of us regionally to make this work. I know tbob and I will show up, I'm sure Stringer too (when he's back from his rock star jaunt in Iceland) - Eric, Johnny, Alain, Muzzle(it's not far?!?!?) etc. are - you in??. So, Unified Scene: link(And this from a bloke who doesn't do Facebook!)

But since our last night out, I've become a father not only once, but twice. It's much nice about getting kids, but the sufficent time required to cross borders to attend concerts is not one of them. I regret not doing it more often a couple of years ago, but then again, I got to London a couple of times. I hope I'll be able to come back in a year or two. But this spring is pretty close to impossible. But hey, you guys, Craig and everyone else, is more than welcome to play at my new house in the norwegian suburbia! I have a lawn now.

Huh. I just came back to see if I could spot a Howard... If anyone sights him, let him know I was looking.

It's been pretty quiet on here - has anyone here or you know thrown their hat into the ring? I've offered Aberdeen, but will definitely want to be attending at least one whatever...

I've offered our place at Inverkeithing. But the only pics I could get of the room were pretty poor, so not expecting much. But like you say, quiet here, UK wise.
(Peoplewise, I don't actually know a single UK THS fan. I was happy just to lurk here for years, and only got involved posting after the scramble for Brooklyn bowl tickets last year.)

As I said, I really don't have the space to offer, but surely this is too good an opportunity for the UK Unified Scene not to get something together?
Even if it was something Northern / Scottish and then something Southern / London way?

I don't have the space either. Surely someone in London will host him. He just posted on Pledge that there'll be a proper london show in a venue, although it doesn't mention if the Uptown Controllers will be joining him.

this is too good an opportunity for the UK Unified Scene not to get something together? Is it against the rules to hire out a village hall or something?

There will be another venue show, on Easter Sunday, at a venue he has played solo before. Full details next week.
But put it this way, you could make a nice trip to the seaside out of the weekend, visit a famous amusement park, drink your fill at a local beer festival, eat ice cream at one of the best ice cream parlours I've ever been to, visit a noted art gallery …

So not a London venue at all then?

So not a London venue at all then? The one I'm talking about is separate from a London show. Sure that will happen, too.
