Something for us UK Scenesters to get excited about, then! Great news - loved the last record.

Fantastic news!
Can't wait to hear it. Alongside Franz's book and Pirate Heart plus more it's a pretty good time to be a THS fan.
Even though I can't make it to the LFTR PLLR or THS BaGiA shows at least the guys are keeping me entertained.
So happy.

Really looking forward to this record - anyone got any idea when a possible release could be? I've no idea how long these things take.
A prolific Craig is definitely a great thing.

I think mastering usually only takes a couple of weeks, but I'd be very surprised if it's released before the end of the year. February seems likely to me!

very very excited for this! it probably won't be out for at least 5-6 months, though. PR lead up and all that takes time, not to mention the pressing itself.

In Central Scotland, and snagged a few tickets to 3 of the nights in Brooklyn :-) It'll be the first time I've seen them outside the UK, and so looking forward to seeing them in Brooklyn. Last time I was in the US for a band it was Philly, and to see The Jesus and Mary Chain , having followed them there from Barrowlands on their Psychocandy tour! A classic Scottish Band. And Union Transfer , the venue was amazing, my 2nd favourite venue now after Barrowlands.

Not a Japandroids fan?! Pretty hard to believe.
Great with another Craig album. I've picked up FITF lately, and the Newmyer's Roof EP as well. I still think it's the most solid thing he's been involved in since Boys And Girls. Even though it's hard to compare it with Stay Positive or Heaven Is Whenver, I enjoy it in another way, and possibly also more.

I really hate to say this but I really didn't like "Faith In The Future" at all. The songs just weren't there. Having said that, I loved "Clear Heart, Full Eyes", I'm listening to it right now and I still think it's a great album. More than likely I'll buy the new Craig album.

I can totally see people liking CHFE better than FITF, but to me the latter felt so much more complete, solid and well written and performed. It's a weird to call an album from an artist 20 years into his career mature, but that's what it feels like to me. I'm not that into Christine, but the rest of the tracks is up among the best of both CHFE and bot Teeth Dreams and Heaven Is Whenever.

They're both great records. FITF does more for me though.

Hands down, "Saddle Shoes".

Hands down, "Saddle Shoes". I'd almost agree, but I would have picked Records And Tapes. Even though Spinners and The Ambassador is pretty ace. I think the highlights from both HiW and TD is sharper than the best single tracks from FITF. But I might think FITF is a better album, on it's own premises. It's soft, sweet, charming, well-written, rounded and still exciting. It succeeds being that kind of album, in a way that HiW or TD doesn't succeeds in being perfect rock albums (like the first three THS albums does).

"Records and Tapes" is by far my favorite song from that album cycle.
