Quick typing on the "msot." That must have stung.
Does "et al" not take a period?

essbee - men are prone to fumbling when they get a little excited. I wouldn't blame James TOO harshly, so long as he can still... conjugate.

Et al wouldn't normally take a stop in conventional usage, which is about easing the reading process. Unnecessary punctuation is to be avoided.
I hang my head in shame about the hyphenated semicolon, however.

theblondette: Conjugation is critical, isn't it? As for the typo, I was projecting rather than blaming. Errors of that sort make me feel awful about myself. james: Thank you for the clarification.

I live to serve. I am devoted to felicitous phrasing.
And, theblondette, I have not forgotten your querying some while ago of my perfectly correct usage of egregious.

'egregious' is a funny one, because its etymological meaning is different from its common usage.

Oh, I see; from thence came your anger this morning! Fie, jamesaa. I don't actually remember querying your usage... If you feel I undermined your status as grammatologist extraordinare, I do apologise profusely! By the by, I keep wanting to read "angleton" as "islington", and I have no idea why. I had to edit that to insert a space! See, I am afraid of these small mistakes now.

My Collins informed me I was right (though there are two usages). I did check afterwards. I'm now waiting for someone to write "fulsome", the single most misused word in English.

I loved it! Franz's reaction to Lenny Henry likening him to Gene Wilder was AMAZING. Loved seeing Philip Glenister, Adele (who I like) and the other MC up with Dizzee Rascal all getting into Sequestered. I was a bit disappointed Dizzee looked totally unimpressed though.

All race and identity things aside. I really dislike Sam Sparro and Adele. Boring boring artists. Well put. frequently ("not regularly"), . Should read: frequently (not "regularly"). I do think Duffy is cute. And I like her voice for about 1:06, then it gets annoying. If she did really short songs, I might like her stuff.
