Ah! stevedave beat me to it, and with better sound quality! Possibly the highlight of my New Years Day, although as mentioned the sound tech wasn't great. Props to my parents for recording it! x

I'm not a big fan of the Tux, however, they do look very dapper!

It was great to see the boys on TV, though the sound quality wasn't great! I was kinda surprised by their first choice of song because it's a bit more talky and I figured they might do a slightly more singalongy one. But people seemed to be rocking to Sequestered!
The show itself was a pretty mixed bag. Duffy, ugh, awful. Annie Lennox was great AND awful - she should not be singing swing-type songs. Though it did have the benefit (?) of making me go around for the rest of the night singing "fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly..." The Ting Tings are SO boring. I'm not a Lily Allen fan, but she was on quite good form and actually trying to branch out a bit from the cockney-schtick.

Sam "Did I tell you I was gay" Sparro. In every interview he goes on about how he's gay. NO ONE GIVES A FUCK It is irrelevant to your music, so stop going on about it.
Sam how every THS article, the write has to mention their age

UK one hit wonder (so far). You could search for his hit 'black & gold' on YouTube, but it's not worth it.

Sam Sparro, blech! What was it with all the white folks trying to sound black last night? Do.not.want. Errr, without white people trying to sound black there would never have been any Elvis, Stones, Beatles and, indeed, rock and roll as we know it. I think that's a really dodgy line to be following ...

No, because the Stones, Elvis etc appropriated and reinterpreted particular black genres in order to create sounds that had their roots in black music (as well as other genres), whilst producing demonstrably new approaches. Sam Sparro, that girl on the show who was wearing a big jumper (Adele?) and the like aren't doing that - instead they are aping a sound which doesn't actually culturally resonate with them, and since they aren't doing anything new with that sound, they just sound crap.

How the hell do you know that for Adele, growing up in bloody inner London, black cultural identity doesn't resonate with her? I live in central London - and I believe you're a Londoner - and white kids under 20 talk in accents that are clearly taken from black cultures. Because that's what they identify with. Christ, there's some offensive crap being talked across this board today ...

All race and identity things aside. I really dislike Sam Sparro and Adele. Boring boring artists.
