wow! I'd love an mp3 of the Jan 26th episode. I'd love to hear his thoughts on those bands (my three favorite bands being among those) I'll get you one when I have it.... That said, he doesn't say much. Just stuff like "what a great record," or "a perfect pop song." I wouldn't expect much out of Bruce on these... Jack

you like Bruce better because he likes Against Me? *shakes head* these kids today If it makes you feel any better, he said he was turned on to Against Me! by his eldest son.... Jack

Also April 28 & 29 at the Spectrum in Philly. Those should be great shows, since the building has been the home of some of his best shows, and is closing this year.
Hoodrat, I know DC was a tough ticket on the Magic tour, but keep trying, he always releases tix the week of the show.

Listening off and on to Springsteen DJ'ing an hour of music on his Sirius channel. Not his music, but music he likes. Of course, he played "Stuck Between Stations."
NP: Elouise - Maps

NP: Sunstroke Me too. Loving it. Nice to have some new Isbell. Something tells me this (along with Major General) will be in the rotation for quite some time. Jack

Been a huge Springsteen fan for 30 years. In fact, until this year I hadn't traveled to see anyone else live (thanks THS!).
After living with this record for a week now...it's growing on me a bit. Musically, I think it's great. Lyrically, it's quite the dud.
That said, I think the highs (Last Carnival, Good Eye, Outlaw Pete (Kiss-controversy, included)) are all higher than Magic, the lows, however, are definitely lower.

Just bought this online...but I'm a liner note geek. Just don't have room for CD's anymore. Did Franz write all of the songs?
Could someone take a look for me?
Loving it, by the way.

OK, now it's out there.
Hmmm. A couple of stand out tracks, but mostly pretty light fare from Mr. Springsteen. I'm going to have to give this one time, to see if I like it at all.
Something tells me I'll be listening to Major General more this week, for sure.

Another one out there as of today. "Surprise, Surprise".
Pretty easy to find. It's even on youtube.
Not liking this one at all.....

Yeah, that's all that's available yet. I'm really surprised this hasn't leaked yet. We're two weeks out....Sony really is doing a great job keeping a lid on this one...

Cheers!

Well, 2008 almost killed me. Seriously.
But the right music found me.
Thank god for THS. And I've lucked into a great community of US'ers.
On to 2009! And, already a show (and plane trip) booked!

Gotta go with Rick Danko and Robbie Robertson.
My 2 year old son's name is Levon. Kinda named after Levon Helm (we liked the name and love The Band).
Hence the avatar.
But....
His favorite song to dance to is The Swish. He keeps wanting me to play it over and over. I swear that's a complete coincidence, but I do play THS at home A LOT.

Hi all. Forced to say up way late pacific coast time (lots of 15 year olds in the house, someone has to keep an eye out). That said, I just opened my second bottle of wine.
NP Southtown Girls. Love that harmonica. Thanks FN.
