Having met both of these dudes, I want to be there when they meet each other. How come? I think my fuzzy logic was that I enjoyed meeting you both and would sure like to slam some pints and talk some shit with a pair of top class gentlemen such as yourselves.

I prefer drinking shit and talking. The doctor tells me it will result in cholera sooner or later.

Do you have a link to that review, by any chance? Can't find it online.

Just can't believe it was nearly a week ago. The whole evening is on repeat in my mind still but hope some more recordings turn up too. Such a great time and definitely one of my highlights of 2008. I've had a pretty shit week since but the memory of the gig and the US meet up has kept me going.

What a curious piece of writing that is. i think it's a really nice piece of writing, but this knocked me back a little: "Craig Finn – a middle-aged man who looks and dances like a Jewish Alan Carr." ...looks and dances like a jewish alan carr?!!? for those of you in america who don't know who alan carr is:

It's not a comparison I'd have made myself but I can see their point.
What I don't get is:
1. How they can equate 'constructive' with 'slacker rock'. 2. Any part of Slapped Actress sounding chauvinistic. 3. The idea that this writer is among the first to point out THS's debt to 80s US punk. 4. What on earth claiming inspiration from the Last Waltz has in common with the mythologies of Bob Dylan or The Clash.

What I don't get is: 1. How they can equate 'constructive' with 'slacker rock'. from where i'm listening that song sounds a lot like superchunk. i couldn't really think of a specific genre the song better fits into. i agree with your other points, though.
