ah, it was sooooo amazing. The tickets I had were TERRIBLE, standing behind the seated area! Luckily we very easily swapped them without hassle for no extra cost and I got right against the barrier. The highlights for me were: FIRST NIGHT ( ) Stations Stay Positive ("We couldn't even done this if it wasn't for you *POINTS AT ME*") Hornets! Hornets! (CF and Koob looked like they were having soooo much fun, what an opener) Yr Little Hoodrat Friend (The bit in the middle was great, I can't remember what he talked about tho) and the encore break, with the fantastic whoa-ohs from EVERYONE in the crowd... even if they were out of time Being my first proper THS gig (I saw them at HMV) this was possibly the best night of my life that I can remember. My right ear is still ringing...

Dear Hannah, In light of the aforementioned setlist, I believe we now have a sufficient basis upon which to allege that Craig Finn is actually trying to murder you. We would like to commence suit immediately before Mr. Finn can flee to some corner of the world like Australia, as we suspect is his plot. We have also begun drafting various bits for cross-examination, and would propose we start with the following: CS: And Mr. Finn, would you please tell the ladies and gentlemen of the jury the NAME of THS's first album? Please advise. Han, you are there aren't you? Han? Han? I SURVIVED JUST ABOUT!!! i got very squished and howard had to help cool me down before i pased out, i am brusied all over from crushing rage but it was pure awesome! i had an absolute ball! thank you to all of the scenesters - those of you i have met before, those of you who were new to my eyes - you made it n even better night with your generosity, stories and humour. i love you all <3 being in london was fantastic, being in london to see my favourite band on the planet was ten times better! hearing all of those songs live was awesome (as ever) and i think i need until 2009 to recover. thanks to all. i don't deserve the love and affection you show me. crazy times. SO MUCH FUN! SO MUCH BRUISING! SO MUCH ROCK N ROLL! SO MUCH PUSHING! SO MUCH JOY! dear band-shaped people, stop trying to kill me by playing don't let me explode twice in 3 days. my heart cannot take the strain. also, fuck, one for the cutters and cheyenne sunrise were perfection. cheers! hannah. p.s. CONSTRUCTIVE CHRISTMAS?! YES PLEASE!! i need a lie down. *boom*

What an amazing night. I survived the madness that was front centre stage and loved it. I ache all over but am still grinning. It's up there with my best gig experiences ever.
Thank you all!

What what? Is the what at getting Certain Songs? About getting the full band Certain Songs? Or wondering what the Androgynous version is? Yes, the "What?!" was based on the fact that the only times I've seen that song performed live it's been just CF and FN. Full band is awesome, especially with the guitar solo. Having met both of these dudes, I want to be there when they meet each other.

was a great gig and delighted to see them do the Swish again. THS are one of the few bands worth bothering to go and see multiple times on the same tour as they vary their setlist so much - think I counted 8 diferences between London and Bristol. Slightly disappointed they didnt do Adderall too but mustn grumble. Hope they do some dates in Europe in May if they come back over to do Counting Crows support
Been a knackering week - busy at work and been full of cold all week but still managed to see James on tuesday, THS on wednesday, The Wedding Present last night and am off to see The Pogues later.

parock and jamesjesusangleton, not CF and FN. Just remember I was the CIA's head of counterintelligence for decades. I know every dirty trick in the book, up to and including shin kicking. But history tells us I will be betrayed. Like your actual Jesus in that respect; though no nails will be involved.

thanks to all invovled for a lot of fun - Cf singing about cricket was worth the ticket in itself. thanks to Jane for sorting same.
one of my colleagues suggested that I might like to make a bed under my desk in the office as I've been so generally tired and..er... "jaded" this past 10 days. She just smiled and looked kinda' vague when I told her we'd been involved in some complicated things.
as ever the kindness and postivity of all concerned does credit to all concerned.
