I cannot even begin to imagine what it's like to be that cold. Seriously. I'm sure it's going to be an amazing night, but thinking of those temperatures, I gotta say I'm quite glad to be here, where it's a toasty 3C outside...

On my way there right now. Regarding the arctic chill: it hurts, but it's worth it..

One-off shows are always scary. On tour you get to check out all the gear every night and you know exactly what everything looks and feels like. Flying into Chicago last night we had no idea (I had no idea...) what the amps/drums/etc were going to be like or what guitars Koob was bringing from NYC. Just me and Andy from Mpls and everyone else from New York. From the second we got here everything just went perfectly. The club was wonderful, the guitars were easily fixed (first time I'd seen them since the DBT tour), the backline was sufficient, life was good. And the house greens salad was fucking killer. I had a really amazing time tonight. I don't always get to relax and enjoy the show, and especially not at shows like this, but tonight was just perfect and fun and I could tell everyone was feeling it. And it was the first time, in my time with the band, that a bra has been thrown on stage. And it happened TWICE. What a weird thing to clean up. It is too cold outside to throw away clothes.

Set list isn't quite right. They played "Cheyenne Sunrise" right after "One For the Cutters." Brought the show to a standstill, as usual, but they then finished hella-strong, and nobody was any worse for wear. Wonderful show. Had a blast, in spite of not making the trek to the front row.

I'll say it again: What an awesome night.
And I'll say this again: I hope our flight into LaGuardia doesn't hit any geese or rivers.
It is currently seventeen degrees warmer there than it is here. I'm glad I packed a handful of different winter hats.

Just woke up;great show by THS on a frigid Chicago night.
That being said, thought their peformance with DBT was a bit stronger and with a little more energy.

i think the encore with DBT was amazing with all 11 band members on the stage at the same time but last night was not lacking for any energy.
Morello had the audience fired up from the very beginning and THS didn't let up until they walked off the stage.
two very different types of shows though....
