Yes. "Super Bon Bon" is the killer jam. I first heard it on a business trip years ago driving at night into into NYC. I felt like I was in a movie.

I have the album "Irresistable Bliss" and from that I agree. The end of the song "White Girl" cracks me up every time. WHITE! GIRRRRL!

Can I just second Hawkwind? Fucking phenomenal back catalogue. Awesome live in any era and truly eccentric British institution.
Warrior on the Edge of Time, Hall of the Mountain Grill, Quark Strangeness and Charm, Space Ritual, Motorhead
That's some fucking fine pedigree and I've barely scraped the surface.
And I've not even touched on the literary connections, Captain Lockheed or the Keyboard players lab coat.

I love Local H, they were on my list a few pages back. They've been one of my top 3 favorite bands since I first heard them in 1996. Just saw them live this past Tuesday in NYC. For those unfamiliar with what they're doing on this tour, they're taking the whole idea of playing their first (or whatever album has a significant anniversary) in its entirety one step further. They're putting the names of all 6 of their records in a hat before each show and having a fan pull one of them. The record that's pulled is the record they play front to back, followed by an encore that pulls from the rest of their albums. Anyway, Ham Fisted was selected when I saw them and I couldn't have been happier. I haven't seen them play most of those songs live since 1997. My wife wanted Pack Up The Cats or Here Comes the Zoo - she's not too familiar with Ham Fisted - but she enjoyed the show, too. I know Scott isn't too fond of playing those songs anymore (he even made a joke about how they should've rigged the hat so they didn't have to play it), but it was awesome.

Nickelback.
...Kidding! I say The Mooney Suzuki. Generally terrible lyrics, but a hell load of fun.
