They hit the stage right about 10:10 as they were scheduled to. They finished the encore at about 11:50ish.

I'm sure there is someone out there that has an exact setlist, but I can do my best. I know a few of these are out of order, but I'm pretty sure at least all the songs are in there. The set was amazing and the band sounded so tight. Incredible mix of older material, and the new songs were awesome live.
(full "official" set list below...)
The highlight for me was that they played the 4 songs that I really wanted to hear, but are not always a guaranteed part of the set (Stevie Nix, Resurrection, Most People are DJs, A Slight Discomfort)

A couple of days ago I was reading Klosterman's "Killing Yourself to Live." This is probably my 4th time reading the book so I know what to expect for the most part, but I forgot about the section where he dissects "Kid A" song by song and relates it to Sept. 11. Anyway, I was at work and had put on Kid A in the background about 15 minutes prior to reading that chapter. Then there is a footnote that says the reader should probably go listen to Kid A (which I was already doing).
Okay, I suppose that is more of psychic book than a psychic iPod, but it was still kind of fun.

I need to check this out - along with the Pete Carroll one too. Go Hawks.

I don't think he recorded any of the parts on the album, I was under the impression that he is only a touring member.

Total misuse of Franz's talents, I will agree.
I do like the new album a lot though. One of the best of this year so far.

pitchfork.com/tv/#/episode/2733-the-hold-steady/4We Can Get Together today. Really, really, really awesome. One of my favorite tracks off the new album and they nailed it. Thankfully they cut to more shots of Galen in this one, since his bass lines are the best part of the album version. My favorite part is during the solo: a close-up of Craig who turns to Steve and Galen with this great smirk on his face. These guys just have so much damn fun.

Didn't go, but I was checking out the Stranger's coverage of it...couldn't find any mention of how their set was. Here is a photo of Craig: THAT SHIRT!!!

I was just thinking to myself how much I hate The Stranger this morning. It is definitely in my top 3 things that I dislike most about Seattle.

You don't know anything about Strung Out? Funny, I thought they were kind of big in Australia. They are a solid punk band, a bit harder than most. They don't stray from their formula all that much though. I've heard their latest album is their best in awhile but I haven't given it a listen. They were my jam back in the day though.

anyone else here just not into the loved ones? i've tried several times to get into them, tried all of the albums, tried them in different orders... can't get it. sounds like just another punk band to me. am i alone? Funny, I tried 2 times to get into The Loved Ones and gave up both times. Even saw them live and wasn't blown away. Couple weeks ago I threw on Build & Burn and it clicked; now I can't get enough. Maybe I was listening to their first album when I didn't like it, but Build & Burn is really good.

The fans who picked up this leak will still buy it on vinyl or CD. Yep for sure. Loving this album so far, may have exceeded my expectations.

Our Whole Lives is a stone cold jam. I've been super anxious to hear it since I fell in love with the live version, and they exceeded my expectations by a mile. Not much to say that hasn't been said; same old Steady, different direction. Not a song I don't like.

Not as good as past Google jokes I agree this would be a lame one, maybe I am just being too cautious today. Already got super stoked when it was reported that my Seahawks had signed WR Brandon Marshall. Turned out to be a joke

Yeah that is a good point. Still an unusual day for this news to come out edit: on second thought I suppose it isn't that unusual considering the tour starts tomorrow.

Hmmm well that definitely is interesting. Another thing from the first article is that he learned "24 songs for touring," which seems a little low since some of the live recordings I have are longer than 24 songs. Although if that doesn't include new songs (assuming he already knew them?) it might make sense.

I am thinking the same thing. Did they even play any shows last month? Seems like the phrase "last month" would prompt people to look at the calendar and realize it is April 1st.

Too bad lala isn't letting me purchase this song. Me either. I've never bought anything from Lala but I am wondering if purchased songs are better quality than the stream? I wouldn't be very inclined to pay for a song that wasn't CD quality. For now I've ripped the song from the stream for personal use in iTunes (basically so I can put it on repeat!) via some screen recording software. I am assuming that sharing a link would be against board rules so I won't go there - unless a mod gives the go-ahead.
