I was running the zoom call from my laptop and the battery run out just before the encore. By the time I rebooted and tried to get back in I was told the call was full.

I really enjoyed it, and it was great to be able to experience it with my family. I think they "get" the whole thing now!! The setlists were incredible - my highlight was Our Whole Lives on Night 1. Clearly, picking 25 songs is becoming increasingly difficult, but I'm glad that they are sticking with that rather than going longer. Was last night the first gig without Hoodrat - I was explaining to my family that there were seven songs they always played, until last night!!

Last night was great, even though in my confusion at my alarm going off at 0125 I couldn't work out how to unmute the stream until the end of the Feelers. The Massive Nights shows were far better than I had dared to hope, and really looking forward to this weekend and some regular sleep patterns!

How long do these shows usually go for? There’s an afternoon gig I want to go to that’s 2 hours after the Unpleasant Breakfast and I’m not sure if I should get tickets to both? The December ones were pretty much standard length - nearer to 1.5 hours than 2.

I did this a while back and I had Resurrection beating Hornets in the final. But Hornets versus Stations in the second round was brutal!!

That surpassed all expectations for me. I bought the full package to support the band and but I'm really glad I drank too much and saw everything live.
Saturday night was special - we didn't do the zoom thing but I managed to get my wife and teenage twins into THS T-Shirts and it was a lovely shared experience - I think they "get it" now.
Highlights in no particular order:
The whole soundcheck - Whole Lives/Slight Discomfort/Vacations especially Turtles The Only Thing Slapped and Resurrection back to back Shouting "SO MUCH JOY" at 4am The Horn Steady Galen's mask I could go on...

Really enjoyed the soundcheck, It was far longer than I expected and to hear some of those songs (especially Vacations and Discomfort) for the first time was great. Main show was great again, lots of horns, The Only Thing and another new one (Heavy Covenant). Looking forward to the earlier show with all the family (the kids at the shows...) and beer tonight.

That was fantastic, I screen mirrored it on my living room tv and it looked and sounded great. Roll on the rest of the weekend. The weather is rubbish in Scotland so it suits to be sleeping at weird times!! Was that straightforward via local WiFi like YouTube or do you have a Chromecast or something? Have a HDMI cable handy but would be easiest to just cast it. We have a newish smart tv so don’t need any cables, just a press a button on the tv remote and the tablet. I think a chromecast should work as well.

I'm still waiting for soundcheck information. I'm in the UK so taking a day's leave on Friday so I can hopefully stay awake for the two "nighttime" shows as well as Saturday's evening show. Just got an email! Soundcheck is 5PM Eastern and 10PM UK. Good luck staying awake for all three- that's real dedication. Just woken up to an Email too - glad they told me to check my junk Email for the show links, as that's where they were!!

Does anyone know what time the soundcheck stream is on Friday? This is the Massive Nights that I've been able to "go", so I don't know how this typically works- the instagram post said they had something special planned for the soundcheck this year, but I still haven't seen an actual time listed. Great effort!! From Apple music...
St. Catherine's was a nightmare, you know, they took away my headphones Sure they let you keep your handset, but the courtyard is a deadzone And the nurse that they assigned me had Eruption as a ringtone Blasting out through built-in speakers like it's bug spray Buzzing like a hornet halfway blown
If you're still in Pennsylvania, I'd advise you not to leave Take some nickels from the fountain, and make new friends and fall asleep
Let's your sins be of omission I wish you wouldn't engage with all those creeps Cause they never gonna love you that one specific way That you want you want them to love you
With a flexible schedule and a willingness to trade your medications Obsessive and controlling coming up on total suffocation She came into the cantina, singing This Must Be The Place Said faithful has its limits, I just want to see his face Before she took her shot, she said a little grace Said, Lord grant me the power to stop these hands from shaking
I’ve been falling in the fountain since a week or so before I’ve been rattled by the accident, my shoulder is still sore I almost rolled my eyes when they asked me how to score But sometimes it feels sweet to be the teacher
When she was combing through the carpet, I could not resist her charms She brought me to a fortress she called the family farm And out along the towers there were guards with heavy arms I guess there was some tension with the neighbours
Tripping at the airstrip, drinking on the runway Laughing at the jets as we watched them fly away She said you get what you get when you push through far ahead They put us in these places for a reason
Shaking your head with resignation masquerading as wisdom Leaning on the lamp post just jangling your keys to the kingdom Listing in the lobby of a hotel on the highway Not sure you even wanna be rescued Because they're never going to love you that one specific way that you want them all to love you And you want them all to love you

In a brutal first round tie, Hot Soft Light edged out Sweet Part of the City, with First Night narrowly pipping The Swish It was a tough round of 32, where Stations took on Hornets and was edged out, and Killer Parties just prevailed over Banging Camp In the tie of the round of 16, Resurrection took out Stevie Nix and Hornets beat DJs with a last minute winner In the quarter finals, Hot Soft Light continued its surprised run with an upset victory over Killer Parties, whilst Resurrection prevailed after a titantic struggle with Slapped Actress Relatively low-key semi finals set up a final clash of epic proportions, Hornets versus Resurrection. A classic "opener versus closer" battle which ebbed and flowed, and was deadlocked entering extra time. In a final twist, the duelling guitars yielded to the whoa-whoas, seeing Resurrection emerging the deserved winner.

In many ways this is my favourite album, as it was the first new release since I really heard the band, the first time I saw them live etc. It was released when I was on holiday in Northumberland, I got married in 2010, and was the soundtrack of the year. I still listen to it a lot, Soft in the Center is the only track I sometimes skip. A Slight Discomfort is a masterpiece.
It also inspired my profile picture!!
