I dunno if greenhat ever received from me, but I'm assuming he did and just doesn't really post anymore. Since my working knowledge of him was just that he's 16, I made a "life lessons" mix, as a rough basis.
1. nothing from nothing - billy preston 2. kodachrome - paul simon 3. sucked out - superdrag 4. girls and boys in love - the rumble strips 5. sweet and tender hooligan - the smiths 6. message to you rudy - the specials 7. first night - the hold steady 8. father and son - cat stevens 9. dead sailors - franz nicolay 10. days like this - van morrison 11. the kids are alright - the who 12. all the world is a stage (dive) - world/inferno

This was what I sent to my person, who doesn't seem to be posting any more either. My original plan was a booze mix, but I couldn't make everything go together, which seemed both fitting and annoying. In the end, there was no theme. Some of the hooch remained, but mostly I just joined heads to tails based on what sounded good to me.
Souvenirs, Christine Fellows The Modern Leper, Frightened Rabbit Montréal -40°C, Malajube Am I Wry? No, Mew You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb, Spoon Look Back in Anger, David Bowie Every Little Bit Hurts, The Clash Cheyenne Sunrise, The Hold Steady Too Much Brandy, The Streets Liquid Courage, Pretty Girls Make Graves Swamp Thing, Chameleons Beyond Belief, Elvis Costello & The Attractions Santa Monica, Everclear The Ballad of the RAA, The Rural Alberta Advantage Teenage Wristband, The Twilight Singers Red Red Wine, The Replacements Lit Up, The National Rooftops, Pela
(For a bit of fun, check out the opening to "Every Little Bit Hurts.")

Apologies to all for taking so long to do this, but the following good and gentle souls sent CDs but - for reasons large and small - never received their own mix CDs: 212Margarita gavmatt johnk kindamedical mitch71 katieee bowery
None of them are complaining, but I thought it would nice for the Scene to pick up the slack. Looking for volunteers to send - it would be wholly legit to just make a copy of the CD you already made . . . I'll take 212Margarita. Post here to volunteer, but don't volunteer if you're not going to send it this week (Saturday at the latest.)
(If you are wondering, I decided against the promised public shaming because there were unforeseeable circumstances and moving and CDs that got lost in the mail and real life problems and I totally get it.)

count me in! I'd like to be on on the next exchange please! great, thanks! but it is way too early to sign up for the next exchange, which will be next holiday season. if you want to volunteer to send a CD to one of these people, i'll PM you an address. but this is not an actual exchange; we're just trying to cover the people who got left out in the cold on the last exchange. shoot me a PM and let me know.

In the meantime, send me an address and I'll send a cd out!

If someone is still empty-handed, I volunteer. I don't know if I'll have time to make another booklet for lyrics, though.

Emily, could you possibly post the cd list that I sent you, cause iTunes ate the play list, and I wish I still had it.
