Good call on Locke's favorite song.
I like to think that the "33 forever / 17 forever" in Stevie Nix alludes to time travel, and jumping back and forth in space and time; but the Richard Alpert theory is even better!
"Stuck Between Stations" - Desmond sitting in the Swan Station pushing the button?
I need to re-watch the first 5 seasons before season 6 starts up.

I love that episode. I also love thinking about the similarities between LOST and The Hold Steady. I know it is coincidence, but certain parts of the stories are very similar. Both have ties with religion and the Jesus/Judas theme (LOST season 5 finale!!!). Both deal with flashbacks and characters seeing the future (Holly in Both Crosses, etc). Just makes my ingestion of pop culture all that much more fun.

Yeah, I just don't like the sound of "...paying tribute to these artists and the very songs that helped forge the sounds that you hear today."
Obviously I will go no matter what, but I would be less excited if they weren't playing much THS material.

Okay now that I am in the official thread...
Am I wrong to suspect that this will be a set mostly comprised of covers?

i love it when it goes into that little simple, but fucking monsterous riff where craig is singing the bit about 'i dont think youll find love in some bathroom in some club' I totally know what you mean. I love all of the b-sides, but this one might be my favorite. If the b-sides had replaced a few of the weaker songs on the album SP might have been on the same level as BAGIA.

I hate that my first post is about songs I don't like. I will generally skip One For the Cutters, Chillout Tent, Navy Sheets and Joke About Jamaica. I don't hate them though.
