Rob Sheffield's "Love is a Mixtape" mentions THS near the very end.

Just finished my first listen - happy to report that mine sounded amazing and played perfectly with no skipping. Sorry that you may have gotten a bad copy, but hopefully it's not widespread.
edit: I should say, the tone arm is definitely more wavy on side B but audibly I could not hear anything weird.
edit 2: Well shit, on my second listen I did hear some weirdness.

Bought a ticket for Chicago Riot Fest and made travel arrangements as soon as the lineup was released. Not missing that festival for the world.

Thought the same thing when I first got the album. Also interesting, the lead singer's brother sings in the band Captain, We're Sinking - who have a couple songs that I swear have to be about Holly... www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T9ij8QXyhU (Now I see her writing on her skin with a ball point pen / She says "I'm dead, but goddamn I will rise again" / And she ate a hand full of pills and washed them down with some Pepsi) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Koqw-86vbfs (She got to the part about the people and the exodus)

I think it'll also be in the 6 range, because they are idiots. Yeah I'm thinking like a 6.2. Deserves much higher obviously.

Sounds a lot like Idlewild. Haven't heard that name in years, but I totally agree. Really good song though.

I love Gaslight but have really noticed a change in Brian's attitude as well over the past couple years. He gets irritated way too easily at people yelling from the crowd. In Seattle last summer someone yelled "You rock!" and he thought they said "You suck!" and wasted a ton of time ranting about it. It was really cringe-worthy.

Hoping one day to give some to the band!

Thanks for the heads up about the recording, and thanks to the taper. The show was awesome, surprised nobody has said anything yet. The crowd was rockin, and the guys seemed really into it.

Thanks for the info. Followed your link and saw that Grand Archives is opening up which is pretty awesome, one of my other favorite bands.

stgpresents.org/neptune/It looks pretty awesome, very similar to another old venue that used to be on the north end of The Ave. Can't recall the name of it now... Another couple things. First, it appears this is a Heineken-sponsored event according to the Neptune's website. Second, has anyone ordered tickets? The cheapest shipping option seems to be $10 Priority Mail. If they are available at a box office or something I would rather buy them that way.

Some of you may have seen this one too, but I was just browsing YouTube via my AppleTV and watched this version on my living room television. Better sound and a better view of the stage...

Did you clap your hands and point to the sky shouting "YES!" like I did? I certainly laughed out loud in amazement. Too good.

Got my black copy yesterday as well. Might order the clear today or tomorrow and keep it in the plastic. So far I haven't opened the black.

There is a show at the 40 Watt in GA that I frequently listen to. Encore of Citrus/First Night/Stations/Ballad of the Midnight Hauler/Killer Parties is awesome.
