You are going to Sacramento for your honeymoon? no we are flying into san fran. we've never been to cali and we weren't really in a position to do something really elaborate so we thought it would be nice. we are still looking for things to do during our trip so if anyone has any ideas i'm all ears. right now we are thinking of spending a few days in the san fran, checking out yosemite, heading to sacramento for the show, maybe heading down to monterey...i really don't know. someone who lives in the area please give me the scoop!

It all sounds good, good choices. Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur are all beautiful. A day trip (or ovenight) to the wine country is a good idea as well. Hope you like good food!

looks like we will be in sacramento on wednesday and then heading out thursday. Is there anything in particular we should hit up while we are in the area...landmarks, museums, etc? Doesn't have to even be in sacramento, but just nearby i guess since we will be heading back to san fran and then monterey after.
also, has anyone been to the venue before? i am curious what is within walking distance for food and drinks.

Nothing too exciting on the sight-seeing front. There's the Capitol, which occasionally has the Governator in it, and is a beautiful building. There's Sutter's Fort, but that's more of a school trip, and is likely to be full of 9-year-olds (that's the year you do California history). It's a really pretty town in many parts, though, and if you're into touristy, there's always Old Sacramento.
My best recommendation for dinner would be Tapa the World. I haven't been there in awhile, but it was always reliable. The venue is at 28th and J and Tapa is at 21st and J, so it's a straight shot and a short walk. There are a few other things along the way.

On our way back to Orange County on Thursday, the fiancée and I are going to try and stop by the Winchester Myster House. I went once when I was a little kid and I have always wanted to go back. I am so excited for this show, from what a friend of mine from Sacramento has told me Harlow’s is really small.

18 days and counting. Feel free to message me if you need any Sacto info. Me and the Mrs. are gonna start off the night at Chicago Fire for the best pizza i've ever had. It's two and a half blocks west of Harlows.

It's cool but was a lot cooler when there was a cigar room upstairs.

Are you Cory from the front row of the RNRMW shows at the Fillmore? Sean Lennon?

I've never heard the Sean Lennon comparison before...but yes.
Also, the War On Drugs are awesome.

really getting psyched for the trip and to see the boys again. the wife (to be in 5 days!) and I can tend to be a bit shy at first so if you see us feel free to come up and say hi (I have really blond hair and dark glasses, she is tall and darker blond). It would be cool to meet some other people from the board.
