AWE.SOME. i got kicked and punched and elbowed and almost-rugby tackled. i bounced around and punched the air a lot. i shouted the lyrics. and i had a great time!! they were on top form considering the fact they got re-directed to SCOTLAND on their flight because of the snow.
white t-shirts + levis + guitars + beer = gooooooooooooooooooood.

First of all: Howdy everyone. It's been a while. Boy, lots of names on the board I don't know yet. But I'm sure I'll get to know everyone as time goes by.
For those who don't know me or don't remember me my story concerning the board is quite simple: A while ago I was looking for a girl and found the Scene. Howdy.
The Gaslight Anthem. When I got their latest album I considered it to be an ok album. Nothing sensational but fun to listen to. But their show Wednesday night in Berlin was really magnificent. Wild dancing, I saw crowd surfing for the first time in years, almost no annoying displays to be seen from cellphones or cams -- it felt so good to see people actually enjoying the show and not thinking about their I-went-to-a-show-facebook-entry of tomorrow. Great fun.

Has anyone seen or bought the Vinyl version of the new album. Does anyone know if the it comes with a download and if it's on 180 gram vinyl.
I've decided I'm going to buy it, but do I need the record or should I buy the CD.

This week I have totally got into '59 Sound. The Backseat ranks in my top 10 of album closers.

The Backseat ranks in my top 10 of album closers. Not actually a closer but I'll give you it for the line "If you never let me go/ then I will never let you down".

the more i've listened to the record, the more it bothers me that every song sounds almost the same. That's what I thought, but then I listened to Sink or Swim, and revisited The '59 Sound and it blew me away again. And Toastie, what do you mean by saying that it's not an album closer?

Their set at Harvest of Hope was fantastic, didn't let me down at all. Can't wait to see them indoors in May.

Well I define a closer as the last song on the album (Hidden tracks not included).
