Lol. I was thinking there was a side one that had security?
😂...Maybe things have changed, in 2020 i was downstairs both shows. But once in 18' and again once in 19' I watched one of the shoes from up there. Just walked up at 6pm, found a stool and sat there, bar right there, no one said a thing, if that's changed someone correct me please? Thanks for taking my response with a sense of humour, I wasn't being a smart ass, I genuinely just walked up there..
I got tickets for the Moth Club but in my blind panic didn’t see the merch add on.
It’s there now but before I buy it does anyone know how I get it? Do I just rock up to the merch table on the night??
Yes, they will have your name on the list, Moshpit Josh, will probs be looking after the merch, but he is known to wear a Man City Shirt, so I make the conversation brief, also tend to pick it up on the way out to avoid poster getting crushed from the chaos and carnage that comes with the gig.

It was the same in 2020. I tend to watch one show of the weekend up there. The bar is handy and not that busy generally and there’s usually a great atmosphere up there.

Keep trying, I had the unavailable message for ages but kept 3 tabs open and switched between each one to refresh, my behaviour probably caused others to be shut out, sorry about that.

I also kept hitting refresh and managed to bag a ticket at about 10.05am.

I managed to get Friday and Saturday, but not Moth Club or pub quiz. So it looks like I'm coming in from Vancouver for 2 shows...seems dumb but here we are.
In for Friday and Saturday, didn’t receive any email warning about any sort of sale whatsoever so feeling pretty lucky I even got those to be honest. Interesting that you can have an e-ticket for Friday but not Saturday and Saturday is more expensive than Friday! Weird as.
If, in the unlikely event anyone can get me a ticket for Moth club, please hook me up. Training it down from new location in Cumbria so would make the weekend a nice long one.
Went to the Oslo show in ‘19, skipped the Sunday in ‘18 and didn’t do any of it in ‘20… have to say Oslo was up there with my least favourite Hold Steady shows ever, there were a couple of absolute Nathan Barley dickheads live streaming it jumping around being total bros and it’s surprising how in a smaller venue a very small number of people that are there for the ticket rather than the event can suck the atmosphere out of the room so I hope the Sunday isn’t like that usually if I get to go.
Argh!! Messed up the pre-order date as I thought it was on Friday. Spent all day refreshing page as other had some luck, but to no avail. Hope ticketholders will keep us poor fools in mind if they have to back out on Sunday.
On a similar note: Does anyone have any experience in buying tickets from the black market dudes outside the venue? I'm a tad skeptical, but it looks like this may be my last option.
Reading this, I think we need to start a campaign for Sam Fender to open one of the Weekender 2022 nights.
"Each week he has a list of releases sent to him by the record shop Rough Trade, and he buys anything he likes the look of, which sounds like nearly everything. Leeds post-punk band Yard Act are a recent fave. “It’s a bit like Craig Finn from the Hold Steady, who Sam Fender loves – it’s talking, it’s music, it’s really interesting, like Fontaines DC …”

Sam is selling out Arenas in the UK, adding second nights most venues, I doubt a support slot at the Electric Ballroom would be something that would interest him? Craig Solo supporting Sam on an arena tour in the future is more plausible. He'd tune in a lot more people to his music like that I think. More than opening for Brian Fallon in clubs.
