I'm gonna take a leap right now, and say that I'm in for both of those.
Where's my twin?

Definitely count me in +1 for the Bowery Ballroom. The Brooklyn show is iffy because I was planning on leaving for Bonnaroo that day, but it's not entirely out of the question.

i'm pumped because the bowery ballroom is HANDS DOWN the best place to see a band in the city, IMHO. amazing sound, great visibility, and moderately sized. plus, there are BATHROOMS near the FRONT of the STAGE. genius!!!
the music hall of williamsburg, formerly north six, is basically a clone of the bowery ballroom, so you can't really go wrong there either.

I googled pictures of Bowery Ballroom, and it definitely looks like a fantastic place to see The Hold Steady, or any band for that matter. What's the capacity like? Over 500? Under 1000?

I'm so excited for this! I bet tickets are gonna sell out real fast though, and I'm broke. Hmm...better add this to the birthday list, pronto!
Oh, and I took it upon myself to google the capacity. One site lists it as 575, another says 500-800. Either way, intimate as hell!

Wow! Those look like the hottest shows of the summer. Did you see some of the douche comments about last night's show on the Brooklyn Vegan page Heidi linked? Were those people at the same show I was at?

Yeah I had briefly considered public transportation in the minute or so I've had to think about all of this awesomeness. Probably the best bet. This is so rad!

Hey... anyone... could someone pick me up tickets for these and I will pay them back... due to it being softball season I cannot buy the tics myself (no time) and I know they will be sold out quick.
PM me?

Wait, so what's the deal with the presale for this one? I know the regular onsale is on Friday, you think they'll be gone before that?
EDIT: just saw the ticketmaster link in the article. no listing for bowery ballroom yet.
