all hancock did for me was make me want to start having spaghetti madness I too liked Hancock but my mates were really dismissive saying that the plot was predictable, well of course it's going to be fucking predictable if you go on www.imdb.com beforehand i thought it was well done too, perhaps a bit predictable if you are sitting there trying to figure everything out...i prefer just to enjoy the ride.

I didn't it full of cheap thrills at all, instead touched the bases of everything I find creepy (ie. masks, house in the woods, home invasion, etc.). I hate Liv Tyler, but the movie itself was made me pretty jumpy and had a cool soundtrack to boot. Have you seen Ils yet? If not it would be right up your alley. The French sure are doing horror right these days!

I liked it a bit more than The Strangers but both have the same themes of isolation and randomness. Really creepy stuff. Let me know what you think of it.

If you want to see a great, fricking scary French Horror film, rent High Tension. I loved High Tension despite the sloppy ending. It was beyond intense. The French are putting out such great horror these days. In the same vein as High Tension, Inside and Frontier(s) were just as good, if not better.

Let me know what you think of it. Them was amazing, very interesting and tense horror. I thought Strangers would be good, (the trailer actually scared me) but it turned out to be a let down; a good idea but they didn't manage to pull it off, and the ending was the biggest anti-climaxing load of shit I have ever seen

I mean The Strangers is nothing more than a tamer Americanized version of Them. Although I did read that the script for The Strangers was finished two years before Them premiered. It was also based on an experience the writer had as a child where a stranger came to the door asking for someone who didn't live there. He was pretty adamant about getting in the house but never did. It turned out that several of the surrounding house had been burglarized later in the evening.
