Great news - selfishly, I'm pleased he's coming to Glasgow again, and to such a great venue!!

Great news! Even though these fall dates are notoriously hard to combine with family and spare time.
I've kinda been looking at that Berlin show, who's a part of Frank Turners Lost Evenings, but I'm worried about it being a short set. London on a Saturday is also manageable.

I would imagine the Frank Turner support would be short, but you would get to see Frank Turner as well! If you can make Glasgow on a Thursday I'll get the drinks in!!

Glasgow is on the Wednesday Robs. But who's counting?
Newcastle & Manchester Friday and Saturday for me. Great little venue in the Toon. Sweet part of the City. Like you said, drinks are on me if anyone on this board pays a visit to our great City. ๐๐Good news to start the week..

Dublin is a Tuesday so I'm going with the best intentions of sticking to the tonic waters but we'll see. May do London or Manchester depending on a couple of different things.
Looking forward to it.

Not for London 24th, if I'm checking the right page? That one is showing as kicking off at 11 for me. Was able to buy for Dublin just there now at 10am local time.

Are you going to Omeara or Moth club Muzzle? Or both? The suspicious side of me thinks that Craig must be checking that place out for night 3 of the weekender 2023? We'll see I suppose? 320 capacity. It's got night 3 written all over it for me. ๐ค Anyway, Newcastle and Manchester purchased easy enough. Looking forward to both shows. ๐

Are you going to Omeara or Moth club Muzzle? ๐ I can only see the Omeara gig on Craig's website and the Moth club isn't listing the show on 2 Oct. Is that 2nd London show definitely happening?

Craig just formally announced the Oct 2 show at the Moth Club. As luck would have it, I'm going to be in London anyway (wife is running the marathon that morning), so all of a sudden my Oct 2 has become (1) cheer on wife in the marathon, (2) go see Saints-Vikings at Spurs Stadium, and (3) go see Craig that night. Sometimes the world just kind of aligns, doesn't it?
Now I've just got to figure out how to get word to Craig that I want to go to the Saints-Vikings game with him...

Berlin is listed now Bob but not much to read into that one seeing it's an opening slot of 7 songs only. Be Honest Blankets Birthdays Maggie I've been searching Rescue Blues Newmyers Roof It's never been a fair fight I don't feel guilty or need to shout "spoiler alert" in that one as I'm sure the headline set will be different to that?๐ค.....I should hope so....7 songs? That's leaving a crowd wanting more isn't it? Seven?? Guess we'll have to wait.....your mother must have been sick of you on Christmas eve every year when you were a kid mate? ๐

Probably earlier than that too. We lived in a two bedroom cottage in the middle of nowhere (not far from Brynmawr) and I knew all the presents would be hid in their bedroom! As soon as November came Iโd start rifling once Mam & Dad were downstairs ๐๐ The worst part is I often regret it but I still canโt help myself! Decent setlist in Berlin. Rescue Blues perhaps the only surprise but I do really like that one.

Amsterdam is up in full:
Messing With the Settings Blankets The Amarillo Kid Birthdays Maggie I've Been Searching for Our Son The Year We Fell Behind Rescue Blues Be Honest Jessamine Never Any Horses Curtis & Shepard Newmyer's Roof All These Perfect Crosses It's Never Been a Fair Fight God in Chicago Ninety Bucks
16 songs, and mostly A Legacy Of Rentals + what would could be called, eh, hits. At least songs I think are widely considered among his best.
Obviously, there's plenty of songs I would like to see in here, but the main omission for me are Jester And June, who I hope to hear either in Brighton or London. I also hope Trapper Avenue, Preluds and Magic Marker find their way into one of the setlists.

If you're going to the UK shows, make sure you check out the opener Scott Lavene. He's like a cross between a Craig Finn and an Ian Dury; which is pretty much the highest compliment I can give.

I've listened quite a lot to both his records, and they're really good. I think he's the type of guy you'd want to catch live too. Will certainly catch his set tomorrow night.

Happy with whatโs there though. Iโd like to hear something off Clear Heart Full Eyes too. That record has really grown on me. If I had to pick one it would be Rented Room.
