Any scene reports from last nights first show in Northampton? I was just about to post the same question. I was wondering if he had any vinyl for sale...specifically the latest album. I'd really like to pick one up for a fellow fan who is going through a really hard time. One more sleep until I'm in a living room with Craig Finn!!!

The first was actually Wednesday night in Kingston, was an awesome time.
It was at a tiny record store, probably 35-ish people there I'd guess. Craig played about 8 songs or so, a handful of new songs and also a couple of older ones. In between songs there was a host of sorts who would ask Craig questions about each song and spur a discussion that would lead into Craig introducing the next. Then after the set ended, he opened the floor to questions from the audience that he answered. And then after that, he hung around for a while to sell merch/sign autographs/take pictures and answer any other questions or discuss anything else you wanted.
All in all an incredible experience. I drove 2 and a half hours each way for it, and it was absolutely worth it. If there's still tickets available for your local show, definitely go.

He did have Faith in the Future and Clear Heart/Full Eyes available, both on vinyl and CD.

Anyone got a setlist? My fingers are itching to make an iTunes playlist! Of older songs, he played Jackson, Maggie I've Been Searching for Our Son, and Newmeyer's Roof. He also did Preludes, and I believe 4 others from new album, including the opener (don't have the names).
And then he closed with ***spoilers***

Also, I'm supposed to play music before and after Craig plays apparently (like from the speakers). Uncool to play THS stuff right? Need a faux pas judgment.

Yes, I was making a (stupid) joke about my lack of coolness. I have a playlist ready to rock. It's just "Cowboy" by Kid Rock on repeat 150 times. Jk it's a good one with DBT Sturgill Simpson, classic rock, car seat headrest, other hip music.

Still processing Saturday's show. It was incredible of course but very serious. It kind of sent me into a mini depression because the new music directly reflects so many personal struggles. Craig is such a freaking genius!
Anyone else here at the Buffalo show? Met some great people there.

The Akron show was great! I didn't write down a set list, but he did a nice mix of old and new songs. We had a girl from the local radio station handling the Q&A. I met a few people who I had only known online at that point.
A really great photographer that I had been following on IG for a while contacted me before the show and asked if he could take some shots. I of course said yes, and Craig posted one of them on his Instagram today.
There are pictures on my instagram (flannelkimono) and the photographer's (cowtownchad) Instagram as well. No video was taken, per Craig's request.
I also got to play the very first copy of We All Want the Same Things on vinyl, which was pretty exciting. People hung out and chatted with Craig and with each other while it played in the background. The album sounds great! I'm really looking forward to hearing the new songs live with a whole band.

I am jealous you got to hear the vinyl! Our host couldn't get his turntable to work. The new album was played by phone so it was tough to hear. That's so great that your show went so well though, jessicalyn!!

Ann Arbor show was very similar to Jessica's is sounds like. Mostly new stuff, but he played "Maggie" and "Christine" from FITF as well as "Mission Viejo" by Lifer Puller and "Certain Songs". No facilitator for Q&A, I just introduced him/welcomed everyone and thanked everyone at the end, and Craig just took the questions himself between songs. He played the new record as people hung out, bought merch, drank beers, chatted afterwards. New Record sounds great, but I will reserve judgement til I can really listen to it (i.e. the car test) without talking to people etc.
