We're only doing Saturday night, but are super stoked for it! Staying at the McCarren.
We're gonna spend the day hopping about the city if anyone is looking for something to do.

Because we havent said anything yet... both Cory and I will be there for all nights I think this was assumed by everyone, kinda of like we assume the sun will rise tomorrow morning. I will be bringing lots of confetti... so get ready! I would like to be informed of the game-plan for photography captures. Merci. You of course will be in the know when the confetti is going to be thrown. Edit: I was asked on Twitter about Unified Prom... It has been determined that Unified Prom will take place Thursday night - so if you have Thursday night tickets, dress up if you want to. I would love to see a bunch of people get all dolled up! I am planning on dressing up each night... so if you don't have Thursday tickets and still want to get dressed up the night you do come, I'll be all dressed up with you

Three weeks out... any word on openers? Yes. There is a different opener every night. Get there on time. Don't ask questions. Be in the front row. Trust.

Can someone please help on the layout of BB? My wife is pretty short, so we always look for raised sections of the floor at the sides, or balconies, or such, everywhere we go. Is there anywhere like that in BB? Coming all the way from Edinburgh Scotland, I'd like to hope she can find a vantage point.

This is raised, but you need to get there early since there is not much room. You can only stand one deep since it is also the walkway to the lanes. Saw Lucero standing there a few yeas ago and Craig was there too, bowling and watching with us.

I'm trying to just come out for the Saturday show, because one is better than none, right?
If anyone has a place for me to crash overnight, please send me a message. Otherwise, I'm going to just fly in, go to the show, hang out for a bit after, and go back to the airport for a super early flight. If I can find a place to crash, I'll just book a later flight back home.

I'm surprised there isn't already speculation about the hint THS posted on twitter respecting the first night opener: an outline of the State of New Jersey. Since Wednesday is the only night I don't have tickets for, I hope the openers on Wednesday are NOT Titus.

It's got to be Titus on Wednesday night,no doubt.
-on another note,I've never been to the bowl for a show.does anyone know if my girl needs her bag checked or to be a certain size? Or if I can bring a plastic poster container tube w/ strap?
Info much appreciated!

This is straight from the BB website;
ARE THERE THINGS I CAN’T BRING INSIDE? Guests, performers and employees are prohibited from bringing firearms, knives or other weapons into Brooklyn Bowl, as well as incendiary devices, laser pointers and any illegal items including drugs or drug paraphernalia. No alcoholic beverages or other outside food or drink, large bags, video cameras, GoPros, selfie sticks or professional cameras (removable lenses) are allowed.
AM I SUBJECT TO SEARCH TO GO INSIDE THE VENUE? All persons entering Brooklyn Bowl may be searched (by ‘pat down’, security wands, metal detectors or other lawful means) to make sure no prohibited items are on their person each time they enter or re-enter the venue, and all bags are subject to search. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone, and to prohibit anyone from entering the venue with any items that we determine may pose a risk to other guests, our employees or performers. We encourage guests coming to shows and other events at Brooklyn Bowl to arrive early.

It looks like Brooklyn Bowl opens at 6 PM Wed-Fri and 11 AM on Saturday.
My folks want to go bowling before one of the shows - will it be possible on one of the weeknights?

I've been dead to the scene for a while, and no I'm not coming. But I just saw this on Instagram, don't know it was going down... http://instagram.com/p/BMD5EbpF446 Looks pretty cool. Is it an 'official' thing? Sorry if this has been discussed already, like I said I haven't been around. Have fun everyone x

I'm not one to complain about things in advance (yes I am), but I'm only now realizing the problem with going to three straight concerts where the band will play the same album all the way through. And I'm bringing a friend who isn't a fan like me. So, set me straight. Different, awesome openers every night? Different encores every night? Drink a different type of booze each night? Help.

Well, your friend might be a bit bored, but I would LOVE to hear Boys And Girls three nights in a row. And if it helps: The BAGIA parti will make up roughly half the set. You'll get your fair share of different songs each night, I would guess. It's really sad not being able to come over for this. I'm awaiting my second child, and if it wasn't for that, I would splash out every penny I have just to spend a few nights in NYC and watch Hold Steady every evening. My empathy for those who has to go to those three shows, are quite low

Dude, do you see the number of people looking for tickets to these shows? If you're not psyched to be attending then put em up for grabs so others can enjoy themselves without overthinking the hell out of the situation. You're essentially bitching about being able to see our collective favorite band (who aren't playing much these days) three nights in a row. Christ, I'll buy them from you and you can use the money to buy the rest of us drinks.

I think "bitching" is a bit harsh (although my use of the word "problem" may have come across stronger than I intended; maybe I should have said "potential issue"?), but each to their own. I'm flying in from Vancouver for the shows, so I think I'm sufficiently psyched. Allow me to elaborate on my overthinking (which is definitely an apt description, and something I'm often guilty of): (1) one of my favourite things about seeing a band that I love and that has a deep catalog is finding out what song they'll play next; (2) BAGIA is obviously a great album, although if I had to choose I'd probably personally rank SS and AKM above it; and (3) when I'm going with a friend who isn't a huge fan, in the back of my mind I'm hoping he's enjoying himself, which could be affected by him hearing the same songs in order each night (although who knows, maybe he'll like that MORE?). But rest assured I'll be there enjoying the hell out of myself (as long as you'll still allow me to go).

As I hope I got across in my other reply just above, my original post may have come across a bit strong. I wonder, especially with Franz back in the mix, how many different songs they'll rehearse in advance of the show. Finding out will be part of the fun.

I'm in the midst of potty training the world's most stubborn toddler and sort of angry at the world right now. Very much looking forward to some positive vibes here in a few weeks at these shows. Carry on, brother.

Haha I have a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old, so I hear ya. "The kids at the shows will have kids of their own"--indeed.
