Vinyl Single £5 - I will buy mine in the shops because that is robbery The Sequestered 7" had an RRP of £3.99 when it was out in July. Which is also a lot for a single, especially without B sides. No idea why there's an extra quid and a penny on it at gigs but there could be loads of decent reasons. Robbery it aint.

And if the vinyl album is really £10 that is the bargain of the century.

Signed? AWESOME. Will be #2 of my signed Hold Steady collection I thought it was a bit cheap (not as in price wise) to buy a pre-signed poster, because I find signed memrobilia is all about storing the memory of when you met the "signee".

Sounds awesome, is the merch being sold after the show aswell as before?

Most probably, but expect queues. At the Leadmill there was only one guy on the stall, and a very nice chap he was, but at the end of the show he won't be able to keep up with the demand, so you may have to queue for a while.
If the venue has lockers; buy the merch, put it in locker.

I suppose. My #1 was when I met Craig Finn. What did CF sign for you? My SP CD. The whole band signed it. I was really excited and felt a bit stupid afterwards. He said "Thanks for coming out" and I said "THANKS!" in a really dumb way. Oh well.

I designed a screenprinted poster for the Nottingham Rock City date which you can see here: www.armyofcats.com/art/images/ths_screenprint.jpg(Detailed pic here: www.armyofcats.com/THS.gif)I gave a stack of posters to the band at the Notts gig -- (astute listers may have heard Craig mention the show poster during the set!) and they have them with them on tour, so if you're interested please pick one up. They're hand screenprinted, signed/numbered and limited to 100. Once they're gone... they're gone for good! G/aoc xo

Forgot to mention: there are at least 20 references to THS lyrics -- see if you can spot 'em...

1. "You are are only saviour" we're gonna build something this summer 2. "Saint Joe Strummer" 3. Lean this ladder up against the "water tower" 4. Chips Ahoy - "5th horse" in the 6th race. 5. "Mississipi River" is referenced in Stevie Nix, Same Kooks, and Stations 6. Frequent "Ybor City" References 7. "Southtown" Girls 8. "7 Seconds" Tshirt is a lyric in Stay Positive 9. IV's - they started kissing when the nurses took off their IV's 10. That thing (which is a reference I'm not sure of) saying "Killer Parties" 11. She's got blue black ink and it's scratched into her lower back, it said "damn right I'll rise again" 12. Maybe eat some "mushrooms" 13. There are a LOT of booze and pills references. 14. "Holly" in the bottom corner 15. Pringle's Can - Gideon's got a pot made from a pringle's can
16. He had diamonds in the dirt - I can hear the lyric in my head, but I'm not sure what song? 17. Is the radio Stuck Between Stations? 18. Is the Jesus a link to How a Resurrection really feels 19. The lawyer, not sure what song this is from. 20. Don't know what the the wierd thing saying Killer Parties 21. The sign to the right of the water tower? Can't recall that one 22. Switchblade in bottom left. I have completley forgotton where this reference is from.
Can you fill me in on 16-22?

Switchblade in bottom left. I have completley forgotton where this reference is from. Can you fill me in on 16-22? Wow, Matt nice work -- here's the remaining ones, which you pretty much got anyway since a few of them are just generic THS imagery: 16. Sapphire, although 'diamonds in the dirt' works too 17. The radio is indeed Stuck Between Stations 18. JC is frequently mentioned in THS songs; notice he is also throwing the horns. 19. "I think my attourney is gonna second that motion" or perhaps "Her father's lawyers did most of the talking" 20. The character saying 'Killer Party' is the state of Minnesota, the state where Minneapolis – Saint Paul (the Twin Cities) can be found. (Franz said this was his favourite reference on the poster). 21. Double whiskey, coke, no ice. (Also a Dillinger Four reference) 22. Butterfly Knife Re. picking one up at the remaining gigs -- they do have these with them, so if they're not visable with the merch just politely ask and I'm sure Josh will dig 'em out, being the jolly nice fella he is. I'm very keen for people to buy these directly from the band if they are able to -- failing that, I have them for sale from my art site: armyofcats.com Thanks again for the positive comments!
