I had a minor snafu getting in - turns out they weren't having any of the "well I got the code from a friend who isn't going to make it" business. Luckily they had my name and number on the entry list (but still couldn't explain to me why I never got the text in the first place). Was slightly disappointed by the crowd, as other have mentioned. However, it was still a good show (I would have liked to have been drinking some classic NW brews instead of SoCo though).
To me it seemed like Craig was a little bummed out on the corporate bullshit. As mentioned above, there was no "so much joy" and the set list was catered to the extremely casual fan. My girlfriend (who had never seen them) asked me before the show which song I would want to hear most and I told her either Stevie Nix or Resurrection, but unfortunately we got neither.
Highlights for me? Free drinks are always nice. Yeah Sapphire hit me harder than many of the other songs...just one of those nights I suppose. Craig sarcastically mouthing "business" and making quotations with his hands at the end of Sequestered makes me smile too. Ultimately, I am anxiously awaiting their return to Seattle with a deeper set list and more beer.
edit: Totally forgot, this was the first time I had heard Heaven is Whenever!! I've heard 3 other new songs, but not Heaven. Blew me away, I loved it.

who kept the free CD? just over a hundred pictures to access, mostly of the crowd- bound to be someone you recognize also five mp3s of songs from the show- HSL, Sequestered, You Can, Slapped Actress and Stations. say what you will about the event, it's pretty cool they made this stuff available, and so soon afterwards... now where's that video?!

If he pulled out "so much joy" every single night, you could never believe it.

I was there. It was all strange and kinda crazy. People were filming and I went off on some goof when they asked questions. I think I said I would give Craig a book and ask him to sign page 93 or whatever. I was drunk a little, that is what I do when I get a bit nuts. I am pretty sure the guy behind me slept with my best friend in the early 90's. Yeah, the DJ thing was wacky and I danced the whole time. I didn't wear my shirt. I never do. I played a lot of pinball and drank a lot of whiskey. SO Co, no matter how many drink tickets got handed to me I passed 'em off and drank real booze or I woulda puked. I took some film photos with my little C1 which I can't see shit through. I gotta say the clever kids can't dance and I didn't know most the words to the funky songs but enjoyed it all the same. I couldn't decide if Kubler was wearing a hospital bracelet or was just able to get on all the big kid rides. They were great never the less. I am constantly chasing the feeling, it's good but never the first night. Yeah, I will do it again.
