ha! so fitting craig should reference some cthulhu mythos shit on the next record There was a stage and a PA Up in Western Massachusetts And the kids came from miles around To get messed up on the music Of the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes That surround the boundless demon sultan Azathoth (i went to college in Western Mass. i DID see Lovecraftian entities. and Atom and His Package) You sir, are awesome.

I think it'd be cool to see them cover "Marry Me" by DBT. There are plenty of DBT songs that would be awesome to see THS play, but I think "Marry Me" may fit Craig the best.

Because that is an amazing post.

I'd love to hear
"Color in your cheeks" by the Mountain Goats.
That seems like a perfect sentiment for Craig and the boys to convey.

"Rocks" by Primal Scream would be interesting although somewhat atypical so how about "I'm Not The Man I Used To Be" an old Fine Young Cannibals track?

If they hadn't done so already, how long would this thread have to exist before someone suggested "Against The Wind"? ;D
actually I've always loved that song, and I do like their treatment of it but I imagine that's not common.

For some reason, and I know its weird. I could see THS putting a really cool twist on the song Imagination by Gene Wilder (Will Wonka) Will probably never happen but I think they could pull it off and make it rock!

If they do the full band version like the Mats did live, yes. Bastards of Young, Can't Hardly Wait, I'll Be You, Talent Show, Alex Chilton, The Ledge, Valentine, and Left of the Dial would all be awesome. "If only you were lonely" would be fun.

I love the Joan Jett version... my mom is from Minny and we'd watch that show all the time.

Heard "Young Turks" by Rod Stewart (from when he was still kinda young) today, and thought of this thread.
Song definitely could use a musical make-over from its early 80's sheen, but the base lyrics and story could work.
