Fairly catchy. Will be one of crowd chanty songs. Bodes well for the album.

This is gonna be such a great summer of music. Agreed. And yeah, the single kills it.

this is the best week ever but seriously, this sounds like every other Gaslight Anthem song. the lyrics are kinda derivative and obvious, it's anthemic and redemptive as hell, and if i don't stop listening to it and singing along my heart will burst

I am just so.. on the fence with this band. they're nice songs, on their own, some really good songs too, but I don't know.. They just don't move me, I find their chord progressions repetitive, in the sense that I find they recur in a lot of their songs.. meh. I'm not so fussed on this track anyway, though.

Yeah.... i agree with everyone who says they're derivative and kinda boring and they repeat themselves and every interesting lyric is basically borrowed from another song or references them.... but somehow i still love them
they're comfort food. Gaslight Anthem are a perfect hamburger and fries in a perfect little roadside diner, and sometimes when you're a hemisphere away from home and lost in your own head you need that

I unabashedly love the Gaslight Anthem. This song's pretty great, can't wait for the record.

Yep. Still sounds like Dropkick Murphys covering Springsteen.
Still hate it.

I sort of agree with Mr Stringer - it is more of the same, but then that's why I liked them in the first place - so that's fine with me!

Yep. Still sounds like Dropkick Murphys covering Springsteen. Still hate it. I think the Murphys part of that is a bit of a stretch, and the Springsteen part is probably why I enjoy it. It could easily be the E Street Band with a new singer. Not for everyone I guess.

Got to this late. But all I can think is that the upcoming Gaslight Anthem album plus Heaven is Whenever will make this summer truly rock

not bad, but i want them to get back to the rawer stuff. Too much "fine" production is knocking the edges off that hooked me in the first place.
still looking forward to the record anyway.

New Broken Social Scene should have potential too, at least based on the couple tracks that leaked so far.

still haven't bought any of the albums i need to this year... new DBTs, Ted Leo, Titus, Joanna Newsom, PERRY KEYES... if i only buy THS and Gaslight i'll turn into even more of a self-parody, but it looks like i'm heading that way

BSS lost it when they started shit like BSS presents kevin drew featuring kevin drew's ego or whatever it was. terrible. regardless, anthems for a seventeen year old girl is still in my top ten songs of all time.

The whole album You Forgot It In People is just excellent. The self titled was decent. I haven't been able to get into any of those side albums at all either. So I at least have hope for the new one.
