must say i'm enjoying this much more than the '59 sound, if only because it seems he actually wrote most of his own lyrics on this one... i'm not hearing nearly as many quotes/samples/whatever you want to call them.

must say i'm enjoying this much more than the '59 sound, if only because it seems he actually wrote most of his own lyrics on this one... i'm not hearing nearly as many quotes/samples/whatever you want to call them. yeah i was thinking the same thing! i hated finding out that some of my favorite lines were just blatant references. it's like... analog sampling or something. but way less obvious then when Craig does it the 'got your name tattooed inside of my arm' line did remind me alot of Arcade Fire's 'tattooed your name/inside my eyeballs' fave line on the album is probably from the Boxer: 'I found the bandages inside the pen and the stitches on the radio' simple but it works

I have to admit I am madly in love with this album. I picked it up last Saturday and I have been listening to it non-stop ever since. I liked 59 Sound and Sink or Swim but this album blows them both away.

i got my pre-order shirt!... i tried to convert my parents but Dad was just 'they sound like Springsteen' original observation, Dad oh and Meat Loaf is a fan! he played the 59 Sound video on our weekly music video program
