"Modesto" is definitely not that sweet. Although, it came on yesterday and i kind of got down to it.
I would also say Both Crosses, but mostly because i want to get on to Stay Positive. If it were after Discouraged on the record, it might be a whole other story.

Navy sheet Sketchy metal Cutters Both Crosses Joke about jamaica
mainly the stay posi tracks dont grab me because of the narrative style, not frantic and disjointed enough for my liking.. oh and the fact the Navy sheets synth line is disgusting

I'm really digging this thread. It shows how things really are so very subjective. I would lose my mind If I ever saw Sketchy Metal live but cal, doesn't even like the song and I think that's cool. I dig Navy Sheets but he's spot on about the synth line. It sounds like it's from a really bad Cars outtake.

One for the Cutters Chillout Tent Spectres is their biggest fail, in my opinion. It's their only song that's actively annoying.

I am of the opinion that every song is a crucial part of Finn's patchwork and therefore indispensible.

I hate that my first post is about songs I don't like. I will generally skip One For the Cutters, Chillout Tent, Navy Sheets and Joke About Jamaica. I don't hate them though.

Full disclosure: I would flip my shit if I heard these songs live, but for the most part I can't listen to them unless I'm listening to the entire album.
AKM: Sweet Payne, Sketchy Metal, Knuckles SS: Cattle And The Creeping Things, Don't Let Me Explode BAGIA: Chips Ahoy!, Chillout Tent SP: Joke About Jamaica
I feel like a bad person for not like Cattle And The Creeping Things. The lyrics are some of the best in the last 15 years, but the song itself doesn't do it for me. And I absolutely adore One For The Cutters - regardless of the Harpsicord, it's a great story song.

I think Same Kooks and Navy Sheets. Although I've come to like them more and more... but still probably my least favorite.

Yeah Sapphire is really the only song I can say that I dislike. Why does everybody not like Knuckles?

whoaman, everyone loves knuckles. well, everyone who hasn't posted about it here. this thread is more like "confessions" of the uberfan. our "least favorites" are hilariously varied and often surprising.

I don't get how people can not like chillout tent. I love it. I think it's hilarious, a modern update to Grease. I always picture the two protagonists like Danny and Sandy but singing about overdosing. Plus the guy from Soul Asylum is in it!
I don't really dislike any Hold Steady song, but my least favorite song on BAGIA is probably...You can make him like you. Which may raise some eyebrows.

I'm getting a little uncomfortable with the pick Don't Let Me Explode. Ok, the rocking part barely lasts 30 seconds. But those 30 seconds I consider rock history.

I don't care for Chillout Tent and Yeah Sapphire. Navy Sheets & Magazines get a real thin pass as well. Jesus the lyrics in Magazines are simplistic and terrible.

Navy Sheets, Yeah Sapphire and Both Crosses usually get the skip when I've got THS on shuffle. Now I feel dirty.
