Best THS show you've been to?

Most of us have seen them more than once, and could argue that any THS show is great... but any one inparticular that stands out in your head?

Mine: The Abbey Bar, Harrisburg, PA, May 2007. Show was in a microbrewery, craft beers on special all night, they played two b-sides(You Gotta Dance & Milkcrate), everyone rushed the stage during "Killer Parties", and the best part - the show was FREE!

Anyone else?

cardiff, august 2007 was pretty bitchin'. it was VERYVERYVERY hot though. i don't think i have EVER sweated so much in my life. ever. the venue was lovely, too. an old church. hearing 'how a resurrection really feels' in there was kinda creepy, but fabulous at the same time. great memories made.

other than that, i have every right to say brighton, may 2008 because it was the best night of my entire life, yo. never has anything quite that wonderful happened to me in all my 21 years. great night. great friends. lots and lots and lots and lots of fun.

or wolverhampton, december 2008 because of THAT setlist!!

I've only seen them once, and that was at Red 7 during SXSW.
As much as I disliked the heat and the short set list, it was an amazing feeling seeing them for the first time, and at the same time have all my friends right next to me shouting along to every word. The band was in top form too, the only thing I regret from SXSW was not seeing them at the Mohawk the next day.

I also saw them only once (Berlin, April 14th, 2007), but that was doubtlessly the best show I have ever been to. From a very subjective view though. Small venue, not more than 80, maximum a 100 people had shown up. Most of them were just standing in the back, only a couple of people were raging up front. But that gave you the feeling that this is really a private show, a gig just for you in your private rumpus room. Absolutely stunning! I'm not too sure if the boys were that fond of German audiences (we're pretty polite folks ), but I really had the time of my life. The whole night became a personal myth alreday long ago.

Probably the Rock and Roll Means well show at the Wiltern. The setlist was excellent, the crowd was great...just a really solid show. I will always have a fondness for the first time I saw them at the Detroit Bar, but the fact that my now ex-girlfriend went with me an basically complained the whole evening made it somewhat less enjoyable. I'm so glad my fiancee loves the band as much as I do.

first time i saw them at the black cat maybe? perhaps just because it was so unexpected for me. maybe ybor city?

there have been tighter sets and better setlists at time goes on though - that T5 show with the truckers blew my mind.

Fantastic crowd, first time seeing them (and only time as of yet), and although we didn't get Killer Parties, we did get Certain Songs, and, a fantastic finisher for me, First Night, because that song means so much to me.
Probably the best night of my life.

i think the best ths gigs i've been to are also gigs from which i have very little memory remaining, so i feel other people are probably more qualified to answer this question than i am. guys, where did i look like i was having the most fun?

A hard choice to make because part of the joy of a THS show is meeting up with loads of great people before and after - especially in Manchester but also Newcastle last year.

Highlight is probably The Point, Cardiff 2007. Wonderful summers day out with my daughter, great venue, we met some of the the band, Ben gave Rachel a t-shirt and Tad made sure she got a set list which Franz signed - it would have been even better if we had known Hannah then.

It's a toss up between the Stone Pony and Abbey Bar. Every show is good. But those 2 were golden. I haven't seen band energy and crowd vibes like that in a long time.

In terms of the music: Easily when JonnyJ and I hit Terminal5 in NYC back in November. Notably, they played "Arms and Hearts" and "You Gotta Dance" and the performance of "Burnin' For You" with DBT was fantastic.

In terms of the experience: Easily "The Franz Connection".

Funnest: BaGiA tour finale, Boston (Cambridge?), October '06. An absolute drunken mess of a rock show. So much fun.

Favourite: La Sala Rosa, Montreal, fall '07. So much Jameson (WD can attest). I still can't believe I made my flight home the next morning.

Thats like picking my favorite child. I would say that performance wise, it would be July 2008 In San Francisco at The Mezzannine.
Had the most fun worshiping at the alter of rock n roll and was the most moved by my time spent within one of the houses of the holy, last week at Harlows In Sacramento.

I used to think that I was biased to the first time due to the nostalgic aspect, but there is no question the first time I saw them was the best. It was the first time they played at the Picador in Iowa City a few years back, around the release of bagia. I hardly knew the band but wanted to see a show, so my mom snuck me in (i couldnt even drive). They tore it apart. I have never seen that much energy and happiness in a performance. I mean come on, they opened with Stuck Between Stations. Is there a better opening song?

Gotta agree with my good friend Josh. (beeteedubs, glad you're posting more, bud.) Terminal 5 was a most triumphant night. It brought us not one, but two awesome covers. Burnin' For You was great, but History Lesson Part II was FANTASTIC! Also, Slapped Actress>Resurrection was a better main set closer than I could've ever asked for.

have to concur with Hannah - Brighton Great Escape for me, great little venue and incredible set crammed all into an hour, they were on fire that night
