I've been watching a lot of this gang-show on the History channel the past few days and the feature last night was on a gang called "Gangster Disciples" who began in Chicago (I think) and then made their way through the Midwest- eventually terrorizing the Twin Cities-
My ?uestion is (and I'm not sure if anyone other than Craig/Tad and possibly Stephanie would know this) is the "gang of disciples knocked me off of my bicycles at midnight down at Selby and Griggs" from You Gotta Dance a reference to the "Gangster Disciples" featured in that gang show on the History channel?
Seems that it would make sense if it was...

Yes, because the lyric is "the Gangster Disciples", not "gang of disciples". He's written about their arrival in Minneapolis in the mid-80s before.

The show is called Gangland, and it is the number 3 thing I miss most about cable.
