Definitely Stay Positive, I have no problem proclaiming my disappointment with that album. If they hadn't released it, I would have probably have given them my artist of the decade nod, but Stay Positive really seemed like a diversion from a proven track record. Almost Killed Me and Boys and Girls in America are probably favs. Love the collab with Elizabeth Elmore of Sarge/Reputation. I would agree that Stay Positive is a flawed record, but I disagree with not giving them a nod for best band of the decade. I have yet to see or hear any other band that has put out four solid records in six years. Something like that is unheard of in music these days.

especially since it's basically just an opportunity for the same douches to repeat the same "controversial" opinions (hi mhetrick). excuse me? sorry, i just assumed that because i'd read your posts you must have as well. edit: i'm just playing around, by the way. i don't really know if you're a douche or not, just having a little fun at the expense of your relentless saltiness on here.

This thread should have been renamed "What is your fourth favourite The Hold Steady album"

Stay Positive is a masterpiece. I love the melancholy air of nostalgia.
I can't wait to hear more B-Sides and re-live the BaGiA live experience on the DVD.

I like BaGiA marginally less than the others. I am struggling to comprehend people placing Separation Sunday as their least favourite, though!

I'm voting Live At Fingerprints... It's flawed on the board mix...
