Following the favourite album thread, I thought I'd throw this in.

I love them all, but my least would have to be BAGIA.

I'm voting for Stay Positive just because it has more songs that I skip when they come on than the rest of their albums and that's only about two. So technically it's a tie between Stay Positive and Almost Killed Me.

Not feeling this thread. I don't have a least favourite. I don't think parents would claim having a least favorite child would they?

Definitely Stay Positive, I have no problem proclaiming my disappointment with that album. If they hadn't released it, I would have probably have given them my artist of the decade nod, but Stay Positive really seemed like a diversion from a proven track record. Almost Killed Me and Boys and Girls in America are probably favs. Love the collab with Elizabeth Elmore of Sarge/Reputation.

It's just for a bit of banter. it kind of seems like an unnecessarily negative way of introducing yourself, though. i mean, i think what lilhan said about it is about as positive a response as you could hope for, really.

This one: Damn it! You beat me to it. As far as Hold Steady albums go, though, I don't have an answer. I love each one.

It's just for a bit of banter. it kind of seems like an unnecessarily negative way of introducing yourself, though. i mean, i think what lilhan said about it is about as positive a response as you could hope for, really. I actually introduced myself by interviewing Franz Nicolay and posting the link on the forums. I think this thread is just harmless fun. I honestly love all the albums, but it can be interesting to see which album people like the least. This thread is just to spark discussion about the albums, really.

Fair enough, man. I see where you're coming from. I'll pay more attention to other threads in the future. I guess I've just found that, in other forums, threads similar to this one can be pretty interesting. ps. I don't really see why people have to "get to know me" before I post. (I don't mean for this to sound bitchy, btw.)

(I don't mean for this to sound bitchy, btw.) haha, yeah, this forum isn't generally as bitchy as your average internet message board (although we all have our off days). i'm also really trying not to sound bitchy and i do hope you stick around here. what i was trying to say was just that if you're going to post something like this, which could be seen as cheeky or antagonistic depending on where it's coming from, and people don't know which you're likely to be, then it won't necessarily be taken so well. it's not that people need to "get to know you" before you post anything at all, it's just that if people don't know you and you post something like this then it has more chance of being taken the wrong way, y'know? xo

I guess I've just found that, in other forums, threads similar to this one can be pretty interesting. yea, i know what you mean. unfortunately, this place isn't rational when it comes to this band. the best boards or threads always are born from either a) a difference of opinion [off-topic boards] or b) an environment that accepts differing opinions. this place obviously isn't A and it's become increasingly clear it's not B either. i thought when i joined here that it'd be more than just "What's your favorite lyric?!" or "What's your favorite song on ______?!!". so yeah, i guess i'm not a member of some unified scene if i have reservations with the direction of the band or voice a different opinion than 90% of the people here. if that's what a unified scene is, i'll pass and accept that i'm just a big fan of the hold steady and don't need a numbered tshirt to prove it.
