Wait, my deep abiding love of General Hospital just collided with my Hold Steady affair? If I could be in NY, I would SO be there.

Is Koobs opening for Rick or playing with him? I wonder if this is just a one-off gig or if they're touring together...

"Tad played his first acoustic solo set in support of Rick Springfield last weekend! Here's the setlist. Songs not familiar by name are new ones he's written.

Married With Children (Oasis cover) I love that Tad are so into Oasis. And that Touchless rips off Some Might Say so shamelessly.

Koobs crushin' it. Would love to hear the new tunes as well as Oasis and Smiths covers.

Three new songs, then. I wouldn't mind a Koob solo album.

Goddamn! I'd never heard Touchless before but I'm a huge Oasis fan so I had to check it out after those last few comments and the music really is just like them circa 95. I'm heading back to listen to it again now. That Koobs solo LP sounds good to me as well and in the grand tradition of these things: I hope he plays some UK dates!

But hell, Tad can probably hang with Johnny Marr.

Tad has spoken several times about being a big Oasis fan. I never tought of the link between Hold Steady and Oasis before I read it, even though I love them both. I think you can hear it in the guitars on several other songs as well, such as Wait A While.
