I was scoping it out yesterday, great line up, but I hate four day festivals that could easily fit into two. Make sure you check out Sarah Neufeld

I decided to return to Reading festival for the first time in a while on the strength of The Libertines headlining Sunday. Today Against Me! got added to that day's bill. Are they really that good?!

IMO they're one of the absolute best rock bands working these days. they're going on almost 15 years of solid albums and amazing, intense live shows. they dipped in quality a bit around 2010-2011 but came roaring back after Laura came out. definitely watch them.

I picked up Transgender Dysphoria Blues earlier and on first listen it's great! The title track plus Unconditional Love, Osama bin Laden as the Crucified Christ and Black Me Out are all brilliant. I'd heard the name and the story of Tom to Laura but I'd never listened to them before. What album would you recommend as a good place to start on the pre-Laura stuff?

Searching For a Former Clarity is my favorite, but they're really all good. Eternal Cowboy and New Wave are close 2nds to me. The only one I don't love is White Crosses and even that has a handful of great songs.
