Okay kids - it's crab pickin' time. The September 4th Baltimore show is a kid-friendly free event in Canton Park on the waterfront of the Inner Harbor. It is a monthly summer event they call "First Thursdays". Pretty straight-forward thing - beer trucks, food trucks, etc. The Rich & Polly Show is loosely organizing Unified Crabfest II at Bo Brooks (Restaurant). By loosely, I mean I am telling you where we will be, that it is a cool place with an Inner Harbor view and they have crabs & beer. What else do you need to know? Bo Brooks website :: bobrooks.com/The restaurant is easy to find (look for the mini-lighthouse) and it is located adjacent to the park where the band is playing. Meet-up is at 4pm and we will be in the back of the restaurant overlooking the marina. The way this works best is we just order a couple dozen (Maryland blue) crabs at a time as we eat them and the beer flows in buckets. Everything gets thrown in the center of one long table family style. Bring cash as they will not be down with splitting 10 or 12 debit cards. This is a just month off and I will firm up a roll call as it gets closer (but feel free to note "in" if you know you are)!

I figured you'd want to answer for yourself. Those other two don't come 'round these parts so much so I rsvp'd on their behalf to get the party started.

Being a native Marylander, you really only get great crabs/seafood here.............smothered in Old Bay of course.

If I can get out of work early that day, I'll be in, but I'll hold off until I can be sure. My girlfriend would also want to go, but it also depends on when she can get off work (we work in the same office, so I dunno).

This is too good to pass up. Seriously. Crabs, beer, good company and a Hold Steady show.
My wife & I (Maureen & Tom) are in.

I love Maryland but the only bad thing about here is the summers are so fucking humid. Outside of that, it's a perfect place to live. Mild winters, Mountains 3 hours to the West, Ocean 3 hours (or if you're just doing the Delaware beaches 2 hours) to the East.

Sweet. This little free show just got a touch better.
The opener is Hamilton Leithauser, former lead singer of The Walkmen.

Not "last call" by any means but I will be traveling starting in the morning and may not think to check back in on this.
I plan on getting a table for 10 with room for expansion if needed. Look for us in the back of the restaurant and the front at the show!

Anyone know what the parking situation around there is likely to be? garage open late or something? I am much too lazy to research.

WTMD's site shows 3 lots to park in. wtmd.org/radio/first-thursday-concerts-in-the-park/I'm probably going to use the one on Clinton St south of Boston St. It looks like the biggest and easiest access.
