Ukelele is actually a little more difficult than advertised. I picked up a $20 uke for myself as a celebration of surviving law school, and found that the weird-ass tuning system is really frustrating if you're used to playing guitar. Scales are all fuct-up. Beyond that, chords are really easy due there only being four strings. I have my baritone ukulele tuned (from low notes to high notes) DGBE so it is like the four highest strings on a guitar. That way all the chord shapes are the same as playing open chords on a guitar. Because most of my uke playing is songs that I know on guitar and don't want to transpose when I'm singing to my cat. It works great on a baritone uke.

i always wanted to play the theramin...it doesnt look that hard Easy to make a sound with, hard to play a tune on. Thats what I heard anyway. I also hear the meat whistle is pretty easy to play. If you can play it really well though, the results are supposed to be explosive

I've been playing bass for a few months now and have picked up pretty quickly. I did play guitar years ago which gave me a basic foundation for fingering technique. But if this kid has any rhythm he can pound out the root notes to your songs.
