So I'm going to be doing a fair amount of gigging outside this summer. I played an outdoor fest last weekend and couldn't see hardly anything on my Korg pitchblack tuner because it was so bright out. I had to squat down and get real close to it and still couldnt really see. Really held things up. I've heard of people putting scotch tape or black pantyhose over the lights so they cut through, but never tried it. Anybody try tricks like this? Do they work?

Dunno about those tricks with the pitchblack. I switched to a tuner with a physical needle (a boss unit, but not the white pedal tho). I use an A/B switch to route the signal to the tuner for silent tuning as well as to keep it out of the signal path.
