Being that I'm a big bluegrass fan, I've always thought seeing the Hackensaw Boys rock a cover or two of a THS song would be a pretty bitchin crossover-
Here's a guy doing Sequestered on a mandolin-
Pretty sweet, imho.

Nice, I was expecting a full band version, Hayseed Dixie style, but that was still awesome

that was outstanding. seeing that offset having to go back to work after being off for two weeks. maybe he will start a THS bluegrass tribute band......

That was sweet.
Hmmm, is this guy a member of the board? If yes, please stand up and take a bow.
And, what would happen if someone handed a mandolin to Craig?

And, what would happen if someone handed a mandolin to Craig? He'd jump around onstage with his cuffed jeans and sorta-act like he was playing it.

A little rough, but very cool.
We need to add FN on banjo and it would really rock.
I like it.

Thank you. Can you recommend any good quality shows from the Live Music Archive? Also any other folky bluegrass names you can throw out there would be sweet...

i'm sucker for the oldtimers, frankiet. just grab a doc watson compilation, some flatt&scruggs, and the nitty gritty dirt band, carter family.
but don't leave out the ladies either: alison krauss, gillian welch, uncle earl
i could go on. also, if you want to know what tommy ramone is up to, try uncle monk.

Thanks jerseymike for posting the video on here. I did the cover as a lark and couldn't figure out where my hits were coming from. I just got the mandolin and figured Sequestered was a song that could switch genres pretty easily.
I was at the House of Blues show in Chicago last night. I've been a lurker on the board for awhile. Figured I should finally join. Hello.
