I wanted to see if there was anyone in the vicinity that was planning to make it to either of these shows. I think I am going to pull a back to back and see both shows. They are probably 4 hrs apart across I80. Iowa City April 7, Omaha April 8....

I'm thinking about Iowa City, but want to get home to California in time for Passover. I guess. I don't know.
Definitely in for Bloomington and St. Louis.

But really, I like the fact somewhat that nobody really knows THS around NW Iowa, but It gets lonely cause I can't talk to anyone about them, not to mention I departed from my body once during Koob's solo (Lord Im Discouraged at first ave).

I'll almost definitely make it to Iowa. I don't about any others, though. I'm completely broke.

How far and how many shows do you hit MissAlabama? Well, I'm pretty new to this, but I managed five of the Rock and Roll Means Well shows, Minneapolis, Portland, San Francisco (home turf). I don't usually travel, but I'm getting the hang of it. Going to see two DBT shows in Asheville, NC later this month. That will for sure be the furthest I've deliberately gone to see a band, as far as I can remember. I could maybe be talked into the next two shows.

I am trying to decide how far is too far, or if there is such a thing.

No such thing. I fly the long ones. Time is probably more of a consideration for me than money, in most cases. I have a full-time job, as most of us do, and some shows take place during busy times, like Asheville. So I'm taking one day off of work and having a long weekend and it's fine.n It's three days away for two shows, a good ratio.
But Chicago would have been two days off from work for one show, and that just didn't work at this time of year. Plus, for some reason, it was more expensive to fly from SFO to Chicago than SFO to Charlotte. So that's how I figure it.
And, as far as this trip goes, I'll fly into Indianapolis and fly out of either St. Louis or Omaha depending on how many shows I decide to go to in the end, and drive between cities.

Really?it isn't the distance or the cost. it is time.....i must save some vacation for shows later in the year. not saying that something may not happen and i change my mind. i do have three months to become independently wealthy.....so who knows what will happen....

Well, I think you should buy that ticket now, just in case. One of us could move it for you if you decided not to go. But how sad would it be if you wanted to go and it was sold out?
I'm laughing right now because I'm pretty sure you'll be there. You just tell yourself your little story for now.
