actually, it looks like i might make it after all. it's the only one of these shows my husband is going to be able to go to; so i'll probably hit this one with him. as well as dc

I would really like to attend, but I might have to work that evening, and I'm broke. Might be able to pull some strings...the presence of Erik Peterson makes this all the more enticing.

if any you are wavering, you have to go to see this show.
just like the "major general" album is way better than i expected, franz's live show exceeded my expectations as well.
(you can buy copies of his cd at the show .... oh yeah, t-shirts too!)

lovely to see bluegirl + mr bluegirl and to FINALLY meet anniehall. people need to get their arses out to these shows. srsly. i'm completely sober but still incoherent; so i'll try a proper review tomorrow.

through a series of items in a list, i will try to convey all of last night's awesomeness +meeting Amy! and mrs/mr bluegirl! +erik petersen's ridiculous punk fans which make my friends look normal +the trifecta: guitar, accordion, banjo +riding my pony, on my boat +TRAINS!?!?!!? TRAINS!?!?! omgwtf +"Cease Fire"...i was hoping to hear that again since potsdam +the major general get-up...classy and appropriate! +dance moves: someone buy this guy a wireless mic system +seeing this all come to fruition over the past year and a half buttttt -------no LilHan  |

I'll echo all the joy expressed by anniehall and hoodrat re: Franz's show last night. Wonderful to meet both Unified Scenesters (and Franz, for the first time). A sweet, honest, earnest, sexy, theatrical show with gorgeous originals and some unexpected covers. "Hi Lili, Hi Lo" was my favorite. If last night was getting the kinks out, I can't imagine what the show will be like kink-free.  But feel free to tell me... |
