Yes the evening post review sums things up very nicely. I thought the crowd last night were much more "up for it" than at Sheffield sunday night. Thought once again that the set "plodded" a bit in the middle with too many slow songs but a storming last half hour was absolutely fantastic. Nice to hear "magazines" as well. Still no "killer parties" though they cant play everything sadly. All in all a great night.

Well, from memory, compared to Sheffield they played Cutters/Magazines & Cheyenne Sunrise from SP. Other songs in the Rock City set were Charlemagne In Sweatpants/Don't Let Me Explode/Same Kooks & First Night (final encore).

That was my first THS gig and it was completely amazing!
Did anyone else notice Craig sneaking out of the fire exit to the right of the stage during the support band? made me chuckle.
Also, I bumped into a guy who i've worked with every day for the last year - and I never knew he was a Hold Steady fan!
I was also really impressed by the age range of the audience. I'm 21 and there was a good spread of people from younger than me to 50somethings.
All in all a great night out!

Nottingham was an amazing gig and for me possibly the best yet! I managed to get to barrier right so had a perfect view. The crowd were definitely up for it, singing lyrics back To CF and attempting to crowd surf...the bouncers were having none of it and pulled at least four guys out.
I personally loved the slower tracks and Cutters, Cheyenne Sunrise, Slapped Actress, Discouraged and First Night were definite highlights. Would have loved to hear Joke about Jamaica and Killer Parties to end but there's still London to go...
Also got to thank Koob for an excellent gig ;D
I'm fairly sure that this is the correct running order although think may have missed one track out near the start?

I might have even nodded when Craig asked 'do you want it like a murder mystery?' in my general direction! I'm sure you'll get to hear it live one day without sacrificing a goat!
