Brendan, Who will win the Superbowl this year? My bet is Carolina. Mercurial Hostile_Matt, DAAAAA BEARS. Or Bruce Springsteen could take to the field and somehow make it a 3 team match, culminating in Bruce and the E-Street Band winning 44-10-16

Can Bears get in on the Wildcard, or do Dallas take that spot because of the tie-break.
Bears won't get to the playoffs. Giants will be resting so Vikes will have an easy game. But then again Houston lost to Jokeland...

Oh, there's no denying the Vikes are master of the choke. But it'll take 2 Bears victories AND a Minnesota loss to get da Bears into the playoffs.
I've always been an Urlacher fan -- and you won't find me talking shit about the Bears (or any team, really). It ain't my style. But I don't think they're going to the big game.

Tavaris has got something to prove, and is getting busy proving it.

J - Of course they aren't, but what kind of Chicagoan would I be without rooting for my teams who never can quite go all the way? Unless they are the Bulls of the 90's, then that's a completely different story.

True dat. I appear to have inherited this same tragic Midwestern sports loyalty. (see: Vikes, choking reputation & constantly likelihood thereof).
I'm honestly unnerved by the reversal of the Vikes' usual pattern of exciting start and late-season slide into chokedom. It makes me anxious that they're just waiting to spring it on me if/when they go up against Dallas.

Yup But I am an avid NFL follower have been since I got Madden 2004. It just really hooks me, and just cos I'm English my views on it are not any less valid. Chargers will make the playoffs, book it.

Brendan, Since you've spent more time in my home state of Minnesota than I have in the past year, what should I do while I'm enjoying the great white north of the Twin Cities? Obviously, Kim, you should be hanging out with me.

BJ Penn or GSP? Lesnar or Big Nog? When will that basement wrestling DVD be available to the public? Baseball bat to the head with a helmet on or kick to the nuts with a cup on?

Untamable thechumpion, 1. B.J. Penn. No question. 2. The "Vanilla Gorilla" Brock Lesnar. 3. March 2009. 4. Kick to the nuts with a cup on.
