Winsome selbyandgriggs, 1. If it's about cookies, probably something really delicious. 2. If it's not about cookies, you're still getting into something good. Keep going. And if it's a plane ticket to Pittsburgh to deliver cookies IN PERSON, then you've gotten yourself into something really good. Jus' sayin'. XO WD Oh, honey, don't I wish. Can't wait to see more dates for this summer. Soon, dear, soon.

Brendan, 3 questions Where is the best gig to fly to from the UK to see THS in April (ie it needs alcohol/sights/memorable stuff generally/US members/sensibly priced airfares, etc) ? Why should i not delay until later in the year and hope for a couple of nights in New york (see above), At which gigs can I expect to meet Sean Joelle JWD, WD Heidi V et al? Loving your work. Distinguished howard, There seem to be two gigs in April that look like there will be a higher concentration of Unified Scene members - Albany, New York on April 1, and Bloomington, Indiana, on April 4. With that said, it looks like this tour is hitting a lot of smaller venues and college towns. I'd rather take a gamble, hit the bigger cities on a subsequent tour (granted if there is one). You'll be able to see the sights, hope the shows aren't on a weekday and probably get a stronger US turnout. As far as seeing the US members you listed, they're really all wild cards. You probably can bank at seeing them at shows in their hometowns (or within a short drive), but other than that, I think it's a case by case basis. Hope this helped, and hope to see you out here soon.

How did Stymie fix Dickie's neck? Prominent biblesalesman, Dr. Stymie had a cure money couldn't buy: a wild ride in his custom-made "taxi". Soon, the mule-drawn cab is careening out of control down the steepest hill in town.

Has anyone really listened to an entire version of Dark Star without falling asleep? Idiosyncratic biblesalesman, Campfirewood1980 claims he has, but also says he's scrubbed it from his memory completely.

Brendan, Could you suggest a good choice of order at IHOP? Dazzling kim, I happen to be frequenting IHOP more than usual lately and I can say I like to change up my order there quite often. I do recommend the pancake combo. I would recommend that you review your egg styles before you go there, though. ;D

Brendan, what's up with the tickets for Bloomington and Iowa City? corollary: which shows are you hitting? Miss missalabamanobody, I'm not sure about those tickets as I check the sites for both venues - those are two I'm a lock for. Here's the itinerary of shows we're projecting to hit, although we may hit a major snag with St. Louis travel and making it in time for Iowa City. Thu 04/02/09 Grand Rapids, MI Calvin College Fri 04/03/09 Urbana, IL Courtyard Cafe Sat 04/04/09 Bloomington, IN Jake's Mon 04/06/09 Saint Louis, MO The Gargoyle Tue 04/07/09 Iowa City, IA The Picador Also, I'd personally like to hit Buffalo too because a friend of mine goes to school up there. But that may be out of the cards.

Brendan,
Since you've spent more time in my home state of Minnesota than I have in the past year, what should I do while I'm enjoying the great white north of the Twin Cities?

Brendan, Since you've spent more time in my home state of Minnesota than I have in the past year, what should I do while I'm enjoying the great white north of the Twin Cities? Alluring kim, Granted, my knowledge of Minneapolis is basically three blocks of uptown and two blocks of downtown (I got crabby and didn't feel like walking anymore in Uptown), my knowledge of Minneapolis is somewhat limited. It's a travesty that you haven't been to Pizza Luce yet. You probably want to get on that. Like, immediately. I also like going to Cheapo because of their extraordinary large catalog of albums. There's a place that has caramel rolls I liked that I had only once. And Yum! has AMAZING frozen hot chocolate. Mostly food related, if you couldn't tell.

Brendan,
My boyfriend recently professed an interest in shoveling. I find it to be sort of odd. Is this a normal hobby for a twenty-something to have? Is it grounds for breaking up with him even though I like him a lot? How can I support him through what is obviously a troubled stage of his life?
Sincerely, Kim

That's bizzare. I've yet to come across that in my history of this thread. As far as the dude you're dating - I've actually spoken to him recently and he says he hates shoveling, so I'm not quite sure where that came from. I'm still not a fan of the guy, he's probably bullshitting me. What an assclown. However, this may help: The following article says it's bad for your health. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28319647/Also, you may want to recommend snow blowing isn't that much better either. That too can prove to be very dangerous.
